BMX Bike
Have you seen any BMX bike earlier or know about its components? If not, there is no reason to worry. I shall explain some of the important parts of a BMX here.Components/Parts of BMX Bike
---> Frame - The frame of the bike is one of the most important components of the BMX bike. Most of the high end street bikes are made up of an alloy named 4130 chromoly steel that has huge resistance to bending and breaking. Lesser the price. The lesser the attention paid to the frames.
---> Fork - Forks should be strong enough to take care of the bad landings without hurting your wheel. The 4130 chromoly steel is treated with heat to use it for stronger forks. For racing and flatland purposes the forks are usually made of better materials such as titanium and aluminum.
---> Hub and Rims - The rims are connected to the spokes which are further connected to the hub of the bicycle. There are various sorts of rims available like the chrome rims, black and raw metal rims, etc.
---> Chain Wheel - Chain wheels comes in various shapes and forms and none is better than the other. There are some that are made of lighter materials while others are heavy and stiff. A small chain wheel prevents damage.
---> Cranks - The low end bikes have 1 piece cranks that can be hard for your knees and are prone to bending and damage. Cranks play an important role in the efficiency and performance of your bike and hence adequate attention should be paid to them. A 3 piece crank is often advised for better efficiency.
Biking is a great experience and when you are in a buying decision take care that you buy the best. They come in different price ranges and in different styles. The lower end bikes are generally not paid much attention to while the expensive bikes are often made up of finer materials. The Terry Scarr Website has a lot to offer in terms of training for your kids about biking. It provides quite helpful training tips for kids.

- good points made here... though I don't think 3 piece cranks are all that necessary, unless you wanna turn pro one of these days. IMO, your money is better off spent in other parts of the bike.
BTW, I'm lensrolling this! 5 stars, too.

- I agree with buying a bike from a good store, already assembled! There's nothing worse than buying a bike in a million pieces and then spending hours trying to put it together.
Nice photos. 5 stars
