Room To Read

The non profit organization Room To Read sees a world in which all children have the opportunity to learn to read and develop into helpful citizens who help make the world a better place.

Their mission is to create libraries and school rooms in poor areas of the world.

Room to Read began in Nepal in 2000, where they brought books to poor areas. Today they are all over the world helping with the education programs and concentrating on starting libraries.

Their founder John Wood used to work at Microsoft.

Room to Read has established over 12,000 libraries across Africa and Asia since 2000.

Reading helped me immensely as a child . . pets and teachers sustained me. The gift of a book is truly a healing, spiritual and life-long gift. Books are not just for academic purposes. Love this lens, keep 'em coming.
