Reading could be one of the most important method to learn knowledge, and reading can not only help us learn but also improve our life.

Reading is a main way to obtain knowledge and information. The modern world is a world filled with information, which in most case spread in words or pictures. So in strict sense, reading is unavoidable as long as we are able to read. However, many people still think that spending hours on reading is not worth it in a time when information spreads faster and in more various ways than ever. Well, the information we receive everyday instantly and abundantly could not be exactly what we want or need, and we still receive it passively simply because it is everywhere. So we need reading, which is much a progress of not only receiving information but also understanding, distinguishing and thinking.

By reading initiatively, we keep thinking actively in the process, and we will know better what information is needed and wanted and what is simply of no use. Most of us are bombed with instant information everyday and much of the information is valueless or even fake, but if we spend one or two hours on reading each day, we could understand better the information we receive everyday, and give right response to different information. In the process of reading, we do not only learn knowledge, but also sort out what we know in reasonable ways.
