You do need a good autoresponder if you want to monetize a list. Your list will keep making you money years down the road. I find that sending my list unique content steadily that when I get a product I think will benefit my list, I let them know.

It's true that building a list is highly profitable for internet marketers. I know online money makers that do affiliate marketing without having a list, you always have to start at ground zero that way, I bet they would make at least 50% more online income by building their list.
