07 Ford Ranger Introduction
Ford Ranger is a name used on two distinct compact pickup truck lines by the Ford Motor Company and by a marketing arrangement with Mazda.
- A Ford-designed compact pickup truck, which is sold and manufactured in North America as well as Brazil, Chile and Argentina. It is also currently marketed as the Mazda B-Series (North America) by Mazda dealers. In North America it is built in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Question: How do I locate my drain plug on a 2007 ford ranger?
I drive a auto ford ranger and i need to find the drain plug. If you can show image will be a plus.
Answer: From under the car, about the middle ares, there will be large (about 1 foot by 1 foot) pan with a bolt stuck to it. That is the OIL PAN and the drain plug.
Just make sure that when you put the drain plug back on, don't over tighten it. It really doesn't hold anything besides the oil.
Question: How effective would a 2007 Ford Ranger 2wd w/ LSD handle in Off-road driving?
I found this awesome 2007 Ford Ranger Sport. it's a 2 wheel drive with a Limited Slip differential. 5-speed with a 3.0 L V6.
how effective are 2wd's with limited Slip differential handle on off-road and off-highway driving? These are already equipped with All-Terrain Tires.
Answer: It might do okay on tightly packed gravel roads, but if it's on loose dirt, or rocky roads, or on a grade, or any combination of those, then you'd probably have trouble with those conditions.
Question: What does a Thai 2007 Ford Ranger use for its headlight and Fog light bulbs?
I would like to change the lights my Asian Ranger to HID's. What bulb type should I buy for the headlights and fog lights?
Answer: Please note that it is an Asian market Ranger which is different from what you get in the US. OSRAM website only has the application guide for US and British market cars.

Mine was stolen off my truck last weekend and I have been looking around at body shops and internet, also called a junk yard. Its cheaper if I don it on my own then to go through insurgence because of the deductible. I believe it should be around 400, also add on a paint job (Which would be white). I'm striking out. My last resort is just buying it from Ford which should cost a lot. So can anybody help me?
Answer: Keep trying junkyards. A lot of the bigger ones have the Hollander system, or other similar systems that let them browse other yards to help find your part. They can have it shipped from where ever it is to them, and you can go pick it up. White was a pretty popular color on the Ranger; you might even luck up and find a white one in good shape somewhere.
It may or may not cost more to get it from Ford. I'd check just to see, and factor in your cost of getting it painted too.
Question: I have a 2007 Ford Ranger Sport and need good suspension lift kit??
i have a Ford ranger and i am looking for a 3" suspension lift kit with an add a leaf in the rear. any one have good places to get them for low cost?
It is a 2007 Ford Ranger 2wd Sport edition and i want a 3" lift in front with a 2" add-a-leaf in back. It doesnt have to be fancy in fact it is just to get my truck a little higher for clearance purposes and to get my bike in the back without sagging. Any one know of any pretty cheap suspension kit places or somethin??

Answer: A sticker on the inside of the door should tell you the maximum tire size for your car.
It might also be located in the glove box door.

The front bumper on my Ford Ranger STX is the kind that sits low to the ground, I thought I liked it when I bought it, but now I don't. I was wondering if I could replace it with a bumper from either a XLT or Sport model without replacing the mounts. It has fog lights also.

Answer: for an original ford bumper close to 500 bucks dealer cost,and on that one this may be the way you have to go with it,or you can order one through a body shop,it still going to be expensive though,good luck with it.

I own a shop and the only thing it has had in 4 years is, fan belt tires oil changes, wipers, Uh that's about it. OH ya stupid me forgot to check the clutch fluid and I trashed the slave cylinder when the hose cracked, just one of those things. part was 40 bucks and 4 hours to R&R the transmission

Handling? It's a truck! but it has great turning radius it doesn't sway like some trucks when you drive over a bumpy road

Bad weather Capabilities (rain,snow...)? as any P/U it is loose in the rear but not bad. a little weight in the winter and I am fine. I did put Bridgestone REVO's on it and the traction is great.

Answer: The code on Fords is usually on the ECM (computer), if by some chance its gone, look at this link. It explains Ford Powertrain calibration information on the Vehicle Certification Label. Then find compatible interchange for your truck, this is for a mustang but is same system.
