Good hole, nice course. By chance, while holidaying in Clonakilty many years ago, I played the course with my wife and son. Often tried to remember the name of this course -thanks for the reminder.

Love it and would love to pitch a tipi just off the green, even without pictures ~ you make it beautiful!

I don't play but my husband is an avid golfer. At first I ran from the room when he'd watch a tournament on the golf channel. Then I began watching from a distance. Now I get a bit disappointed if there isn't a good tournament to watch for a few hours on a the weekend. Why? I love the courses! The water, the plants, the views. Addicting. :)

It looks beautiful -- but hey, I live in British Columbia, Canada. It's God's country. I'm spoiled by beautiful scenery and beautiful golf courses! Seriously, your pictures are gorgeous.,

Lovely, indeed! I'm not a golfer but have been passing by another lovely golf hole in Ireland a couple of times. Have a look at Carne Golflinks next time you are in the vicinity of Belmullet (Co. Mayo). It's right on the wind-swept sand dunes of the ocean with fantastic (and very rural) views. Sort of like Pebble Beach for commoners... ;)

I haven't seen anything nicer than this golf course. Honestly, I'm not a golfer but that doesn't matter. This is just beautiful landscape - golfing or not.

Great job Kevin. You always lend interesting insight to your lenses with your unique gift of description and the way you opened this lens up is a good example. I've been fortunate to play and/or attend tournaments at some wonderful courses over the years. Amen corner in Augusta has to be my favorite (not played there), but Harbor Town, Pinehurst, The Ocean Course @ Kiawah, Quail Hollow, Sugarloaf and The Atlanta Country Club are also great. Some lesser known courses here in the Carolina's like Grandfather Mountain, Roaring Gap, Hound Ears, Chanticleer, Charleston Country Club and Wade Hampton are also among the most picturesque I've ever seen.or played and there is a higher concentration of golf courses along the coast of the Carolinas than anywhere else in the world and many of them are primo layouts. One Interesting one is Legends in Myrtle Beach which has replica holes from famous courses around the world. Will try to get some pics from a few around here soon.

Beautiful course and beautiful lens. Great photography and well written, as usual. Congrats for being the JJJ pick for Mimi's Blog!

I am a golfer myself, well, more of a chopper and a shanker, but a golfer nonetheless. I have played all over the U.S. Some of the most beautiful courses I have ever played have been the famous home of the Nissan Open The Riviera, The TPC at Herron Bay Florida, and the courses in the Gaylord Mountains of Michigan. However, Lisselaan looks to be absurdly lush and beautiful as well. Don't know if I even want to dig my divots into it!

Not a golfer, but love looking at pretty greens. You took those pix at a wonderfully luscious time of year.

Lake Tahoe has some beautiful golf courses and so does Canada but I don't have any photos of them.
This is truly a beautiful spot!

Absolutely beautiful! I would love to see that! Wow! Simply gorgeous.

I can see I'm going to have to look at a few of the local golf courses and try and come up with something as beautiful as that golf hole. Have you thought of asking the Irish Tourist Board to fund your lensmaking? You're doing their job for them. Stunning golf course. 5* lens.

I'm not a golfer, but I appreciate a beautiful sight when I see one, and this is truly beautiful!

Former golf captain with a sense of humour. Just trying to have some fun here. However, it is still a lovely golf hole. Go on and have some fun.
