The next one hundred lenses
This is my 100th Squidoo lens, that is amazing all on its own because when I joined Squidoo I thought I might ultimately make a dozen or so lenses. Squidoo has changed since then and so has the way I use the site. I did work out quite early on that it's essential to have lensographies.
A lensography helps you to organise your lenses into groups where they're easier to find, not only for the reader but also for the lensmaster. Once you have multiple lenses, they start to hide from you on the dashboard.
Like my first lensography, this one will give a list of the next 100 lenses in chronological order. I have no doubt that there will be more mini-lensographies created to cover specific subjects with which I deal in detail.
What will I cover in the next 100 lenses? I have some plans, you'll certainly find out more about my puppets and there are still Action Man lenses to be made, my plans are fluid and who knows what might come along begging to be written about. Bookmark this page to keep up with developments.

My Natural World
There is plenty to choose from, otters, capercaillie, wood ants, crossbills, badgers, red kite, deer and a host of other creatures, small and large, make the Cairngorm National Park their home. Not far from here is the Moray Firth where we have dolphins and, of course, our rivers team with salmon and trout. But I won't only be writing about local wildlife, anything to do with the Natural World could find its way here.
A Walk Round Nethy Bridge
We probably all have different favourite places in our local area, whether its a view or a restaurant, and we all look at things from our own angle. So, if you haven't already gone out and explored your local area for a lens, why not give it a try today.
Of course, I would love it if you would take the tour around Nethy Bridge with me first, just click here to join me, I'm ready to show you around.
Pelham Puppets
... made in England
In this lens I give a little background and some pointers to date but I am also learning about this subject and my collection is growing. I hope to put together a few more lenses dealing with various Pelham Puppets and expand the information given here.
It occurred to me that this is a little like being back at school where I'm researching a subject and writing about it as part of the learning process, so indulge me a little and we can learn together as we go along.
Pelham Puppets were never the most expensive, some were not much more than a couple of weeks of pocket money for some children so there are many examples available on internet auction sites, some characters are truly rare, a few may be unique, the prices now can vary from pocket money levels to hundreds of pounds.

Derivative Images
DerivativeImages.com offers images for use on blogs, websites etc free of charge. It's a new site and, as yet, is limited in the scope of what's on offer but the portfolio is growing daily and it's worthy of a bookmark to return to when you're looking for something a little different for your website or lens. I've chosen some of my favorites to include here.
We know a high impact picture can make a lens but they're not always easy to come by. On DerivativeImages.com full technical details of the pictures are given alongside the images as well as any conditions of use there may be and you can rest assured that you will find pictures there which are free from copyright issues.

Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009
Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone was the first song which came to mind when I heard of his untimely death at the age of only 50 years, on 25th June 2009.My children have never know a music world without Michael Jackson, he was already a star when they were born, even though he was still a child when my oldest came into this world.
Few people have the influence and reach Michael Jackson did in his lifetime and even fewer leave us a legacy as wealthy and enduring as his is sure to be.
Action Man Physique Changes
Action Man Physique changes covers the Action Man range from vintage to modern with an outline of dates for major changes.
I totally recommend you buy the two books I specifically point out on all my Action Man lenses for more detailed information on all the physique alterations Action Man has gone through over the years.
Believe it or not, there are still more Action Man lenses to come so, if you like action figures or small soldiers, bookmark this page to keep an eye on developments.
0ctavia's Hothouse
0ctavia's Hothouse is one for the WiWon team, where we'll be helping new potential Giants and potential 100Club members in the challenge leading up to the end of September round for inclusion in these categories. At the time of creating the lens, none of the tutors know who they will be coaching in this round and we're all excited to see who is joining our team for this fresh challenge.
If you intend to try for Giant or for the 100Club then take a look at the Willow's Wonder Squids lens and sign up to the team.
There are, of course, several teams taking part in the challenge and you are free to join any of them. Team WiWon aims to be the best.
Octavia's News
A while back I got an email from Yahoo saying the 360 blog was ending. I had only stuck with Yahoo 360 because I had invested a bit of time in that blog in spite of the fact it was far from the easiest to use.I almost always will ask people I know who are interner savvy what they recommend and someone I respect a great deal for their internet knowledge recommended Tumblr so, at the beginning of July 2009, I ventured into Tumblr to see what it was all about.
The result is shown in this lens, 0ctavia's News, which I put together less than 3 weeks after staring my Tumblog. This alone should tell you I'm impressed.
For ease of use, Tumblr scores high and there is so much more I can do with it, I'm only just beginning to find out how much. A versatile platform, Tumblr is rapidly becoming an essential in my daily routine.
Surviving abuse
Surviving abuse is a very personal story of a tarnished childhood and how abuse by one person can lead to further abuse being perpetrated by others. If you are a victim of abuse, then don't be, you are a survivor and then you can go on to thrive.
There are links to resources relevant to those who have survived childhood abuse on the lens below the guestbook, along with a range of readily available books written by survivors and to help survivors.

The Health Debate
... number 110
I got extremely ticked off with the slanderous misinformation which was being flung around about the UK National Health Service during the Health Care debate in the USA and it prompted me to put this lens together. In particular, it was when I heard of claims in a US newspaper that Professor Stephen Hawking would not "have a chance in the UK, where the National Health Service would say the life of this brilliant man, because of his physical handicaps, is essentially worthless,'' in fact, Professor Hawking has stated that he ''wouldn't be here today if it were not for the NHS," and spoke of the "large amount of high-quality treatment" he has received over the 40 years of his suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease (ref The Telegraph) and heard our NHS branded as "evil" and "Orwellian" by republicans that I felt I had to put together The Truth About The UK National Health Service.
Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi
The Lockerbie Bomber
Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi walked free from a Scottish prison today (20th August 2009) on compassonate grounds, due to terminal prostate cancer. In a statement read by his lawyer, Mr Al Megrahi again restated his innocence of the crime, a view also held by Dr Jim Swire, father of one of the UK victims who was onboard the PanAm flight when it went down over the town of Lockerbie in Scotland.
This lens gives you the opportunity to comment.
A bit more about me
... carried over from my first lensography

Of course, it wasn't the only thing I was doing.
Since childhood I have written poetry and my interest in this deepened the more I learned about languages. Words fascinate me. I can remember as a young child wondering why 'rose' - it's a flower of course but why that word for that flower.
There again, there are the various anomalies in the English language - words which sound the same but are spelled differently to one another, words which have precisely the same spelling but mean entirely different things - like bough and bow (branch of a tree and to bend oneself in a humbling gesture) or bow and bow (something you tie your hair with / the equipment stroked over the strings of a violin and that bending gesture again).
This was just the tip of the iceberg with language, from the anomalies I wanted to know the origins of the words and that led me into history. Not so much the history we were all taught in school but history as it affected day to day life.
I was also more than a little interested in embroidery (design and actually making embroideries) and the travel of words across the globe parallels the spread of stitches and designs. I also discovered a parallel in cookery.
You may not have been aware, but during the middle ages it would be common for Knights who had gone to war (often leaving the poor Lady at home locked into a chastity belt) to be away for years, and it was not unknown for a young girl of foreign extraction to be sent to a Knight's wife with instructions that she should be put to use in the kitchens as she had some marvellous recipes or in the sewing room because she knew many delightful 'new' patterns.
Naturally, there were other reasons why the young woman would be getting sent to England but let's not go into that here.
Thus the recipes and design patterns from far and wide came to mingle with traditional English fashions and styles.
Interesting, isn't it.
Language and other customs travelled the World in the same way. Tarot was just one of these travellers.
... and even more ...
Information is more readily available now than ever before in the history of humankind. All kinds of information is, quite literally, at your fingertips right now. It wasn't always this way and I guess there is a generation growing up now who would find it a real hardship to have to source books and articles on the subjects they may want to study.
Sadly, the availability of information doesn't mean we are better informed.
As a child I knew that if I wanted answers I had to go find the books which held them, I certainly don't consider that a bad thing because not only did I find answers, I also found inspiration.
From childhood I have drawn on this inspiration for my poetry and paintings - many of my cards are adapted from my early work - and in writing articles and short stories.
I hope I have managed to pass some of that enthusiasm and inspiration on to others along the way.
My life has brought me many and varied experiences and a great many surprises along the way. Like most folks, it hasn't always been good and it isn't always easy to get by. At times I have had to gather wild herbs and fruits so that my children could eat, at times I have had a degree of luxury, my life has crossed many boundaries and borders but though there have been the saddest of losses, times when I have suffered abominally, and I have turned the wrong corners sometimes, I would not change it.
It has made me what I am now.
Have you ever had your aura photographed?

You're looking at mine right there LOL somewhere, sitting in the middle of all that, there's little old me.
Perhaps it's no wonder that bees fly right into me ROFL

Are there subjects you would like me to cover?
If you have any suggestions, this is where to leave them.

- Well, this is interesting too! Followed you over here from another of your lenses. I thought it was going to be about the second 50 years of your life, that would be a good one too!
