My Group-ography

If you have quite a few lenses you'll discover that they start hiding from you when you're looking at that long list on your dashboard.

First, I started my lensography which does help me find my lenses when they're hiding but as the number of lenses has increased, it has become more difficult to keep track of them altogether.

Now I need to organise them into groups so I can keep complimentary ones together more easily, especially as some of them really cross the boundaries between categories.

Perhaps I was a sheepdog in a long forgotten lifetime but still have some of the herding instinct LOL

I hope this also helps my readers to find lenses I've made which will be of interest to them.

The Zolanta Sellers Group

... a great group of people

The Zolanta Sellers Group was the first group I set up.

There is only one requirement for joining this group, you must be a Zolanta seller. The subject of your lens doesn't matter, it can be about anything you like as the main reason for setting this group up was to help buyers to get to know their Zolanta sellers.

Zolanta is a small and growing auction site with a quite distinctive flavour. I love the community spirit on the site, everyone is ready and willing to help out other sellers wherever they can.

If you haven't checked out Zolanta.com then why not go and take a look now.

The Deb Jackson Five

... some of the most remarkable work you will see

Nope, not a jazzband but a group of five lenses I have for the miniaturist Deb Jackson's work.

Deb contacted me saying she wanted to put a link to the lenses on her website and I thought how much easier it would be for her to have just one link to include so I made this group in response.

Only the five lenses of Deb's work are in this group, there are links to her website in those lenses.

My Recycling Lenses

... we all need to save a little cash, these ideas should help

My recycling lenses are growing in number and there are more to come.

It was just so much more sensible to organise them into their own little group together before there got to be too many of them.

So far they mainly deal with recycling cloth and clothing but, stay tuned for something more adventurous.

Tarot, Divination, Spirituality

... and all things related

My most spirited group of lenses, these were the ones which kept wandering up and down the dashboard so I was having a great deal of trouble finding them all.

There's a whole section of Tarot lenses and more besides in this group, hopefully now they will behave themselves and not go wandering off.

Action Stations

... which is your favourite Action Man?

The Action Man group has grown much larger than I thought and I still have more lenses to add.

This 12 inch, fully posable figure is probably one of the most collected 'toys' and I hope the group of lenses I'm building will provide a resource eventually to help identify the figures.

In many ways I am learning as well, follow the development of these lenses and we can discover Action Man's World together.

Handmade Cards from Scotland

Handmade Cards from Scotland started out as one lens but, as with the Deb Jackson lenses, it had become very slow to load due to the number of pictures included on the lens and also difficult to find the cards you might be interested in.

There will be four or five lenses by the time I've split up the original and it will have another benefit, it will enable us to see more easily which types of cards to expand the selection we give you.

I hope it helps you to identify more easily the cards you need to send.

Please remember that all these cards are also available as A4 prints (c 8.25 x 11.5 inches), you only have to ask :-)

My Scotland

My Scotland - a group of Scottish lenses which will grow and grow, who knows how many lenses will be in this group eventually, Scotland has a rich history, heritage and culture.

I hope you will enjoy what you see so far.

0ctavias Foody Group

I've set up my food group and have such a lot to add to it over the weeks and months ahead. I hope you'll keep coming back to see what's new and maybe get some inspiration to spice up your leftovers or to create your own unique recipes.

With a few basic pointers to some old-fashioned money saving food ideas, you can soon find yourself inventing a new dish from whatever you have leftover in the fridge or cupboards.

It isn't difficult at all.

Dollhouses as a Hobby

All about Dollhouses is a group of lenses on various aspects of keeping and collecting dollhouses.

From repair and maintenance to choosing furniture, the lenses in this group will help you in deciding whether this is a hobby for you. Men can be involved in dollhouse collecting, in fact, it's a great hobby to take up as a couple.

Whether you kit them out as a period piece - expensive but fabulous effect - or just have a dollhouse you would like to restore, take a look through these lenses for some help and ideas.

0ctavia's Natural World

My Natural World is a mini-lensography, bringing together all my nature oriented lenses.

Geology, crystals, beehives and a mix of anything you might find in nature will end up in this group and, as I plan a range of lenses about local wildlife, this group has a long way to grow.

A mini-lensography, dealing with just one of the subjects you cover, is a great way to organise your lenses and you will find as your list of lenses grows, that you do need to organise them to stop them hiding on your dashboard. In addition to making it easier for me to find my lenses, it also makes life easier for the reader.

I hope you enjoy my natural world.
