Steve Jobs: Visionary, pioneer, genius

I would not start off this lens with another biography of Steve Jobs as it would only be a repetition of what hundreds others have done. Suffice it to say that on his death he was widely described as a visionary, pioneer and genius in the field of business, innovation, and product design, and a man who had profoundly changed the face of the modern world.
Those who have ever used a Apple computer or listened to music on their ipods or have downloaded iTunes songs know him and what he has contributed to the world. iPhone users will surely remember him each time they power up their cellphone, as do myself each time I hear my iMac's start-up tune.

In this lens I would invite you all to remember and to celebrate what this great visionary has contributed to the film-making industry, especially in the field of animation.
After taking over and stepping into Pixar in 1986 Steve Jobs brought with him change, and turned Pixar from a hardware seller into one of the greatest movie makers of all time. Over the past 16 years Pixar has produced 12 animated feature films, all of them box office smashes and winners of numerous awards.
"Toy Story 3" released in 2010 is to date, the highest-grossing animated film of all-time, grossing over $1 billion worldwide. The $602 million average gross of their films is by far the highest of any studio in the industry. [See Wikipedia]

The following are 10 of Pixar's animated movies, listed chronologically starting with "Toy Story", their first feature length film.
