Constipation can be more than just getting Hemorrhoids. If you don't Stop Constipation, you can also develop a very Painful, Bleeding Fissure or worse yet cause a Blockage possibly requiring surgery, so please take Constipation seriously. After Searching and Begging Professionals for Advice on How to Eat while suffering from Severe Constipation, I finally figured out by putting all the various ideas together, deleting the advice that didn't work for me and Waa Laa. No one person was able to tell me what to eat to Stop Constipation.

When I followed my own advice on how to stop constipation, I got constipation relief. When you are dealing with normal constipation due to lack of water and or poor diet, following a healthy plan should work for you. Check with your doctor to make sure it is not something more serious. Steps #1 - #10 were the answer for me. I needed to take much more drastic measures because of the deep painful and bleeding fissure that developed after taking Bentonite supplements given to me by my Chiropractor. My hope is that these measures will work for you but it is imperitive to keep eating a healthy diet not only for constipation relief but to avoid getting constipated all together.

#9 Take a Natural Laxative or Stool Softener Only when NEEDED -

This is extremely important to remember. Do not get your body addicted to Laxative and take it with caution, only when necessary. For instance: If we have out of town guests and we went out to eat and I skipped my awesome smoothie, I may decide to take a laxative to prevent re-tearing of my very delicate and vulnerable fissure. I certainly will not take for many days in row "Well, I can eat bad again today because I can always take a laxative again." DON'T DO IT. EAT HEALTHY INSTEAD, but I do keep it on hand for those FEW occasions I did eat bad. For me, I might take one once or twice a month and only because I know my fissure is at risk to re-tearing.

You will likely lose weight while you are healing hemorrhoids and fissures and stop constipation.

The Natural Laxative I take is Senekot Senokot 50 Tablets Natural Vegetable Laxative (See all Laxatives)
but remember not too often. Instead follow my guide #1 -#10 for normal constipation (lowering protein was for my more extreme situation because I realized that even a few bites of chicken and such was more than I could handle over and above my raw nuts). According to MY doctor, she didn't mind if I took the stool softener for my constipation treatment for an extended amount of time but with my own health sense, I wanted to use it for only as long as I needed. My favorite is Ducolax Dulcolax Laxative, 5 mg, Comfort Coated Tablets, 100 tablets (See all Laxatives)

for an extended period of time but am happy to say it is a rare occasion that I use that as constipation treatment because my natural constipation remedies work well for me when I follow them.

Miralax Miralax 30 Day (See all Laxatives)
is in my opinion the Gold Standard. My doctor told me it is not addictive to your body as a Laxative can be. It is however more expensive. I feel that it is more powerful than Ducolax for me yet still gentle.

# 10 The MOST IMPORTANT Tip to STOP CONSTIPATION Eat 9 to 10 Servings per Day of Fruits and Vegetables.

I know it sounds like a lot. I feel if you at least set a goal toward that, you will probably eat more veggies than you are now. I can not stress this enough. I feel this is the #1 constipation treatment you can do for yourself. By eating/drinking, my Fiber Packed Fruit Smoothies, you can get at least 2 - 3 servings of fruit right there and if you can hide some spinach in there, all the better.

For normal dietary constipation I found these to be incredible solutions to chronic constipation or temporary constipation. Make eating healthier and end constipation a goal in your life. You can do it.
