From the lens 10 Most Haunted Places in India.

Not everybody can understand what it is like to see a ghost, or been abducted by aliens for that matter. The fact is, it feels safe to not imagine what might be lying beyond your understanding. But can we stay there forever? Weren't these spirits alive before they used to haunt these places?

Death is something that is the biggest constant in this world, and what lies beyond it is the biggest mystery...looking forward share your beliefs and experiences with paranormal...

    love real ghost story incidents,great lens.
    i have an incident you would love to hear...the place is near Udpi, Karnataka, the story goes like this....there is a small house and the paranormal activity occurs only when a muslim family or a muslim is staying there...every night till the muslim person is left the house, Stones hit the house from every direction,,,when a hindus are stayed there is not such activity recorded..

    hi rups, thanks for your kind reply, but did you ever went there ! if not, please do not remark on that. I went there, and visited all the spot with EVP equipment and IR camera. found something really wrong. and the villagers not allowed me in the night, I read the link you send. just I am requesting you, do not remark what you did not feel. there far difference between the book and the reality. truth is stranger then fiction.     Sanjit, i will not ask u about your feelings, as i have not visited there. But that railway station was reopened after a decade and we did not hear any incident so far. looks like the atmosphere is only in station not for the entire village...??

    "Officials say the story was made up to avoid postings at the remote station."
    in indian territory there many more jobless educated persons, why railway didn't declare some particular post for that station only ?

    Hard to say but after death what happened nobody knows but the spirits are not there its base a simple terms of spirituality that body left behinds and soul went to another destination which we felt and saw was our own part of body which called "KARMA SHARIR" which is to face the punishment of our karmas.

    Thanks for this, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this lens. I do not doubt that these places are truly haunted. I remember being in Mumbai and hearing a truly terrifying account from my friend's servant about a lady that haunts his village in Bihar. This was a spooky read, but I have to say, I don't know if I'd go ghost hunting in India!

    something like spirit or ghost does exist. because there is no smoke without fire.
    we all talk about it, there must be at least some basis to it.
    spirits do exist.......in this world and the other world..........reincarnation cases have been reported.....that means something remains after the body dies.

    But i've never felt anything scary over there. This is just a rumor. Infact its a miraculous place to visit. I would love to visit there again.

    Great article, very good compilation of haunted places in India. I personally had a ghostly experience some years ago at Bhangarh. It was during the day, I visited the place with some of my friends. We were looking at forts and you know just joshing around... when I got tired and stood against a wall....

    Suddenly I notice that I can hear faint voice of a women right behind my ear and all I had was the huge wall behind me... first I thought it was just wind and I was imaging cause I was tired... but the I heard the words clearly ... she said "suno... suno..." twice. It felt like the bones in my fingers froze and I started feeling cold, even though it was sunny afternoon...

    I moved away from the wall and went back to my friends, one of my friends Deepak, noticed that my lips were bluish and thought I was going to faint. We went back into the car and I relaxed for a bit and had some water.

    Later that night when we had come back from Bhangarh and were staying at our guesthouse... I had a weired dream at night... when I woke up in the morning I didn't remember much but I was really really scared.... my friends told me that at night I was talking to somebody in my dream and crying....

    I never went back to that place again....

    yup .. whoever went to that place and had a feeling of somethin scary within them ,, they all had scary dreams in night .. those dreams are damn terrifying n scary :((,, i belive you ,, and the cold sense is because the prensence of ghost around you at that time !!

    Excellent Article ! Though its time to remove Bhangarh from the list. Indian Paranormal Society recently investigated Bhangarh and busted all the myth what could be the reason of the place being haunted. That being said, Gaurav Tiwari, Founder of Indian Paranormal Society (Also a known face from MTV Girls Night Out) investigated Bhangarh for Aaj Tak channel for two nights with all their equipments and found nothing except this report:

    just I wanna ask you one thing, what is the difference between a dead body and a leaving body, ans. a energy exist in a leaving body, a physical body is able to react when it contents a astral body. its a metaphysical theory.
    I know about Mr. Gourav Tiwari and his team IPS. and also the MTV Girls Night out. All these are so crowding. and metaphysical world is only for those who wants to know it from there real heart.
    did you hear about the exorcism of emily rose? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Exorcism_of_Emily_Rose ) its a film, based on a true event. and there is many more examples which are a subject of those people who are really wants to know about the metaphysical world.
    So what is Mr. gourav tiwari and his friends doing that is not our look out.
    they have so much money to spend and has a great portfolio to live there own life and trying to spend there offshore time enjoyable with some extra activities. This is not my subject. I just want to tell you one thing if you have real interest about the paranormal world. kindly do not crowd. its not a subject of crowd. just try to feel it. and search yourself.
    I think the people who always showing the others example, they wants to tell there own that ALL IS WELL .... but chachhu... try your self once. you can find a whole new world.... Thanks

    I didn't believe in ghosts earlier...but as I have grown spiritually, I feel that the existence of a ghost after death sounds more logical than a complete wipe-out after death...

    Bhangarh is the most haunted place in the world, no competition...I'm surprised why none of these American Ghost Hunter reality shows have tried their hands at this place...

    If they do, there would definitely be a lot of activity recorded...

    Dow Hill, I have lived there for two years, and is a place which is more haunted than the most haunted movie you have ever watched....and that headless boy's story is true. I haven't come across it though, thank you jesus!

    I love this list, I'm also a ghost phenomena enthusiast...I have visited Bhangarh and trust me, shosoever reads this, all doubts that you have about ghosts and other worldly entities disappear at this place....There something about this place, that is utterly wrong, you may or may not see anything here...but the constant uneasiness that you feel points towards something really really paranormal...
