You have some amazing recipes and tips here for using roast chicken and all "divine"! I've noticed that when frying chicken that hot and fast gives the best result but sure didn't know about broiling first and then roasting. I wonder if you have notice that we have a recipe module available that allows for a printable version of recipes, its very user friendly and easy to use.

Thanks Tipi- I do know now, but this was one of the first lenses I made and didn't realize it yet... I will be changing it over to the recipe modules soon.

Chicken Goulash Stew - this one brought back some fond memories. Thank you for sharing.
  • Ilona1 Apr 18, 2011 @ 3:45 pm | delete
you are welcome- if you have the basic goulash recipe you can make a number of different meat dishes with it. I like it with veal, too.

Nice lens! I got hungry just reading it. I do have several recipes for roast chicken, but I'm also a major fan of buying chickens already cooked in the deli at the local supermarket--fast and delicious.

so true and the way I often go, as well...however if you want to try a special glaze or stuff it, or want to try a large sized capon... it is nice to know how to roast it right :)
