A Pop Icon and memories of my Childhood
The sad news of Michael Jackson passing has brought back many memories of my childhood. The posters on my wall in my room, my scrapbooks filled with news articles and magazine photos, his singing and dancing and so much more. I am going to write about my Top 10 memories of him and I am sure some of you who are fans have some of the same ones as I do.

At last we will all be able to watch Michael Jackson in his last days as he was working hard on his This is It Tour. This movie will be a hard thing to watch, but something he would want us all to see. The movie was in theaters October 28th for 2 weeks and is now available on DVD and other platforms for you to view at home. I had the opportunity to see this movie in the theater and I was so moved by it and yes I cried too.I wrote my thoughts about the movie on my blog - I saw the Michael Jackson This is It Movie Today

Rumor has it that it has been in the works before his death
The game was being developed even before the legend's untimely death and now the developers may try to release the game a little early in the third quarter though initially it was planned for a December launch. Who can forget Jacko's trademark white glove worn on one hand. It seemed after he started that everyone had to have one glove. BUT his glove was not any ordinary glove. He had his made special of course and with only the finest Swarovski crystals hand-sewn into them - hundreds of them. Talk about sparkle. Michael Jackson Posters
Posters on my walls
I can remember all the posters on my walls - most came from magazines. I always hated how they had the fold marks in them.As I am writing this lens and seeing all the old posters it really brings back so many memories. Unfortunately all my old memorabilia was stored at my parents house. All the old posters and scrapbooks I made as a child were tossed out when my parents moved.
I am still mad at them to this day for that - it would have been really neat to look back all of that now. I also would imagine it would have been worth some good cash right now as well.
This poster of Michael in the Yellow sweater is one that I can remember on my wall. This is now of course a very rare find.

I can remember the day this came out - the anticipation was huge. The wait was well worth it at the time. The video was amazing and one of the longest made at the time. Thriller went on to being one of the best selling albums of all time. It is funny to watch the video today being so much older now and so long since I have seen it. It still makes me smile and want to get up and dance.In addition to the Thriller song was other big hits on the album like Beat It, PYT (Pretty Young Thing), Wanna be starting something, The Girl is mine and Human Nature. No wonder it was the best seller ever.

We all know Michael Jackson transformed over his years, but besides his skin color I remember his nose the most. They say back in 1978 he broke his nose and had surgery to repair it and when he came out it was a bit thinner. What happened from that point on to me is still unknown, but it got really weird. I am sure he underwent many more surgeries after that and there has been much said about his nose.Some Michael Jackson Nose Jokes:

In conclusion, with all the memories I have of Michael Jackson of course the one I will remember the most is his music. It will forever be part of my life, my kids lives and it will live on.Michael Jackson is a legend - a pop icon that will be remembered forever. His music is amazing and his love for it showed in everything he did.
Although he had some tough times in his lifetime and had been a mystery to us all his music will live on. Whether you are a fan or were a fan at some point in your life Michael's Music and talent has touched us all in some way.
It is very sad to lose such a talented artist - he will be missed.

I have deleted comments from people who do not have nice things to say. This is regarding the accusations of MIchael Jackson being a Child Molester. I am in no way defending the guy and what may or may not have gone on behind closed doors. I think none of us will never know for sure and that has now been taken to the grave. He was acquitted of all charges brought against him in the court of law.This page was made in a dedication to my personal memories and to his life dedication to music.
So if you do not have anything nice to say do not say it. It is sad that I even had to add this.

- I am sorry you feel that way - I am a big fan of MJ and mean no harm - these are my memories and the things I remember the most about him while I grew up. His nose was a big deal and one of those memories - the jokes are some I had heard and are just that jokes and one I remember from that time. We all have different memories and if it offended you - what can I say - we all are subject to our own opinions.

- I watched the Emmy Award Ceremony the night Michael Jackson won 8 or more Emmys. I will never forget that great performance. I thought I'd be seeing much more of him, but alas, never saw him again, because he was next to impossible to know anything about.
But watching these videos here has helped me to "see" the Michael Jackson I saw that night at the Emmys.
What an amazing talent.
I have to say this--The parents who allowed their children to go unsupervised to Jackson's home have to have some accountability-and no one ever says a thing about that.
I have always defended Jackson on this score.
