5. Filling the missing numbers on a 100 chart (see links below)

One of the best things about 100th Day is that your students get to practice counting to 100 again and again. This is great for number recognition and even presents endless opportunities to practice addition and skip counting.

100th day literacyFor 100th Day you will want to read one of the many stories listed on this page or one of the 100 Days of School Poems from Songs found at the link below. Another thing you will want to have your kids do is write answers to the following questions and share them with the class.

This project can be turned into a little booklet and pictures can be added as a nice take home memory. Starfall has a great free 100th Day printable that you may want to use as a writing prompt for your class. A class list can also be generated for items your students wish they had 100 of and a class discussion about why they would like them.

Put together a 100 Piece Puzzle

A great activity for older students

putting together 100 piece puzzleTo celebrate the 100th day of school why not have your student put together a 100 piece puzzle. This is a fun activity for an older student or a nice group activity for 2 or 3 younger students. It is a great way to use problem solving skills and to build hand eye coordination.

100th Day Snack Ideas

100th Day Muffin Tin Meal1. Make 100th Day Party Mix. Invite students to bring in bag of 100 snack items such as M&Ms or Pretzels, marshmallows or raisins. Be sure to note that peanut items should not be included due to allergies.
2. If you Homeschool, a fun idea is to make a 100th Day Snack Tray or Muffin Tin Meal (Pictured) with 10 cups with 10 items each to snack on.
3. Make a snack in the shape of 100 like a Banana and 2 small powdered sugar doughnuts.

    I never hear about 100th Day before. We don't celebrate it in Europe, but it is so lovely idea... Maybe we should!

    The Kindergarten classes at my school always had a 100th day celebration. You have presented many creative ideas. Sprinkled with dust from the Angel of the farmyard on a Back to School Field Trip and featured on 70 Super Angel Blessed Squidoo Pages.

    As homeschoolers, we can decide to start anytime and whether or not to include weekends and holidays. Celebrating the 100th day of Homeschooling can take many tips from the 100th day of school as well.

    What a terrific idea! Though we homeschooled, I never thought to celebrate the 100th day of school. Wish I could go back and do it all over again!

    Before I even started reading this, I was already sold. Our school makes a big deal of the 100th day and the kids really look forward to it. There are some great ideas here.
