100 Watt Incandescent Light bulbs Outlawed in January 2012

That's right! It's almost too hard to believe, but it's true. Come January, you will have great difficulty finding 100 Watt Incandescent Light Bulbs because it will be illegal for companies to import or manufacture them.

The 100W light bulbs are the first ones to be outlawed, and LED replacements, when they become available are expected to cost $50 each!! This price is predicted to go down to only $30 each after awhile, but can you imagine paying $30 for one light bulb?

How about 100 Watt Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFL)?

The problem with 100 W CFL light bulbs is not their expense, but their size. They are TOO BIG to fit in many light sockets.

Incandescent Light Bulbs aren't very efficient.

They produce a lot of heat, so they are being outlawed!

I think Thomas Edison would be outraged, if he were alive today. What do you think?

I think it's a great cost saving measure, at the same time it should be available for those who need it just in limited quantities.

I have a rare illness which makes me sensitive to the sun, florescent lighting, and the new lighting products. It is funny because I can get an illegal substance like marijana but will I be able to get the incandescent light bulbs? Lol...I don't want the marijuana by the way but I do want the incandescent light bulbs ;)
