I love as gadgets. As a result, I used to go though a couple of 12 battery boxes of AA and three 12 AAA battery boxes once a month.

I tried the new Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries but my first experience was not great -- they just did not work in anything I put them in. Then I discovered Sanyo's new Eneloop batteries.

The Eneloop batteries have a low self-discharge rate, meaning one can charge them any time, store them until needed, and then use them.
