Oliver Lang is a professional paintball player for the Ironmen and is one of the best players in the league. One year into my paintball experience I hit a plateau and couldn't seem to get any better. I played a lot and got a couple of tips from some of the guys on the field but i could never seem to put my game on steroids. I picked up pro player Oliver Langs paintball book and it made all the difference in the world. This is the reason why I have decided to give advise to any new players looking for it and why i will always pay the credit forward to Oliver Lang.

Top 10 paintball tactics
1.Scope out the field - Before the game take a look around for good angles good cover and good places to move to

2.Plan ahead - One of the best paintball tactic is to have a plan for every one ahead of time.

3.Lanes - On the break if you are a back player shoot your lanes. More happens in the first 10 seconds of a speedball game than the last 4 min. For a guide on lane shooting click here.

4.Communication - Once on the field yell out opponents positions, coordinate movements, make sure you have cover before moving etc.
5.Crossfires - It is usually a good idea for the far right and far left players to advance together and as fast as possible. This sets up nasty crossfires and allows the team to get multiple angles on all the opponents players forcing them to play tighter and giving them less room for error.

6.Movement - Make sure that when you move your not going to get lit up. Make sure you know where your going, keep low and slide into your positions.

7.Real estate - This is very important gaining ground as a team puts the other team at a disadvantage, it forces them to play tighter and limits there movement options. Getting the entire team up the field is an essential paintball tactic.
8.Snake - The snake is a power position if you monopolize it. It allows you to get behind enemy cover without compromising your cover. This goes the opposite way too, if the enemy gets some one in the snake you have to flush him out as soon as possible.

9.Bunkering - Bunkering is a powerful technique but you will look like a retard if you do it at the wrong time. Make sure the coast is clear, don't get shot on the run over. Try and predict what side your opponent is facing, get behind him, this avoids him tagging you out on your way by.

10.Fair play - Cheaters loose friends really fast. A game is only defined by its rules. Get a rep on the field for being honest, people will appreciate you more.

It's been over ten years since I've played, used to play in tournaments as we used a custom paintball shop called Palmers Pursuit who was the first to make custom paintguns. Enjoyed stopping by to see these tactics and remember back when. *blessed by a squid angel*
