    This is a super helpful lens! Thanks for laying out all the steps so clearly. I even posted a link on my facebook wall. As someone who works in the lighting industry, I'm always trying to convince customers to order LED or fluorescent light fixtures. It costs a little more at first, but they pay for themselves over time. Anyway, thanks again for the great ideas!

    Thanks for the great suggestions! We should all be doing our bit, whether it be recycling our junk, walking or using public transportation more regularly or trying to be more economical with the energy we use.

    Great tips!     Great article. I actually would, like to share my energy conserving tool that I used to retrofit lighting at my office. Motion Sensor Savings Calculator
    . It basically helped me to calculate how much energy i would be saving and money! Gotta love that, especially because I really had no idea where to start! ha ha.

    Love this tip ----> 8. Repair or replace leaky faucets. A leaky faucet waste upwards of 30,000 gallons of water a year. Thats right, imagine what you would be saving with a quick fix! very useful

    Nice lens, the point about a rebate from your utility company is also quite important. I wonder how many people take the time to check into this... I have also some energy saving tips to offer, my faviorite being the use of a
    smart power strip to reduce energy costs related top the phantom energy being consumed.
