11-11-11 trivia, brief review, stars and soundtrack
1-1-11, 1-11-11 and 11-11-11. Mean anything to you? Unusual dates which happen once in a hundred years, usually believed by superstitious people to mean more than any other dates. For instance, consider this: Take the last two digits of your year of birth then add the age you will be in 2011. And behold - the result will be 111 for everyone. Do you think it's magic? No, it isn't. It's just simple mathematics. Your present age added to the last two digits of your birth year will always equal 111, with two exceptions - if you are under 12 years old or born before the 1900s. Next year the result would be 112, 113 in 2013, and 199 in 2099. A simple mathematical progression. Yet the dates are believed by many to mean something much more, like a mystical convergence of some sort. Which leads us to Darren Lynn Bousman's (Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV) latest horror-thriller "11-11-11".
The film follows American author Joseph Crone who travels to Barcelona, Spain, after the tragic death of his wife and child. In Spain he hope to reunite with his estranged brother Samuel and dying father, Richard. Instead, Joseph's life was plagued with strange happenings, and the constant sightings of the number (what else?) 11. His curiosity turns into obsession and soon he realizes that the number 11 holds a horrific meaning. It is actually a date, 11-11-11, which is more than just a date - it's a warning.
The film stars Timothy Gibbs (The Kings of Brooklyn, Season of the Hunted), Michael Landes (Burlesque), Wendy Glen (You're Next).
Scoring for "11-11-11" is Joseph Bishara, who wrote the score and acted in the film "Insidious". Bishara had also collaborated with director Darren Lynn Bousman on "Repo! The Genetic Opera" as music score producer and mixer. The "11-11-11" OST details have not been announced. Stay tuned.
The film opened on November 11, 2011.

- Very interesting lens. I haven't seen the movie, but it's intriguing to see the many different ways people interpret dates such as this one.

- I have seen this one as I love horror movies, but I can't say the music was particularly memorable. It's worth a watch I guess, but not one of my favourites. Liked your lens though, as usual.
