Giving 110%: A lens dedicated to the really dedicated

Can you really give it your all-- 100%... and then some more-- 110%?

One of, if not my biggest, pet-peeve of all time! A lens dedicated to the discussion and debate of the question: Is it possible to give more than 100%?

In my personal opinion, NO, you can't give more than 100%. 100 percent means 100 per 100 that would mean everything or all and would not leave anything else to give. We are talking about effort hear and I would love to say that I give 100% effort on everything I do but, in reality, that would be impossible too as we only have 100 percent to give and rarely are we ever putting all of the effort that we are giving at a particular time into one thing. Therefore we can't be giving 100% to anything... ever.

That is only my opinion, and I want to hear what you have to say! Leave a comment or vote in the duel survey to give your opinion on effort and how much it is possible to give.

It's mathematically impossible. You can exceed your previous, and then you would be doing more than 100% of what you did before, but not more than 100% of your capability. We all have a maximum capability, and can't exceed it... If we improve on something, then that something was not our maximum capability.

IM SO GLAD SOMEONE ELSE THINKS THE SAME WAY I DO!! Show me on a chart of some sort where the extra 10% falls? If people say this why not just say 120%? Above and beyond my...

jk. But really, 100% is 100%. Saying you gave it 110% just means you tried harder than others, but it's still 100% of your 100%.

    It always use to bother me when people would say "I want to see 110%!", I still don't know whether or not to get upset, or give them what they're asking for!
