What Makes Romance Popular?
Romance novels are the most popular book genre, followed by science fiction and then thrillers. What is it that makes romance novels so popular?
Is it the fact that we can live out our fantasies in romance novels, where the man or woman of our dreams can enter into our imaginations and seem so real.
One thing is for sure, there is nothing so nice as to curl up into a comfortable chair and spend a few hours in the company of a hero who will do everything to be with the woman that he loves.
As long as there is love in the world there will be romance novels to fulfil our special yearning.

- I agree with Pride and Prejudice and Gone with the wind, but where's Nabokov's Lolita? :-) it is great, too! and, yes, Jane Eyre! But if you go for a harder read, choose Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra, or Venus and Adonis. they are all so passionate!! :-)
