Squidooholics Anonymous (SA)

"Laughter is the best medicine!" -unknown

The SA 12 step program is as follows:

1. We admit we were powerless over Squidooing-that our virtual lives (and sometimes real lives) had become unmanageable because of it.
2. We have come to believe that God is greater than ourselves and can restore us to sanity.
3. We make a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God.
4. We make a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves to make sure we do not make a lens against Squidoo policy.
5. We admit to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our Squidooing.
6. We are entirely ready to remove all Squidoo idols.
7. We humbly asked God to remove our Squidoo addictions.
8. We make a list of all persons we had Squid-Who'd, and are willing to make amends to them all.
9. We make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would Squidoo-Who'd them or others.
10. We continue to take personal inventory of our lenses and when we are 10 more lenses deep, we promptly admit it.
11. We seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His Will for us and the power to carry that out.
12. We, having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, try to carry this message to Squidooholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs. (source Wikipedia's Twelve-step program with my own minor edits)

I'll go first. I've been on Squidoo since about September of 2007 but didn't really realize how powerfully addictive lens making was until about February of 2008. Since then I think I've created about 100 lenses or more and just recently became a Giant Squid. My family doesn't know about that yet but if they see this site they will. I just wanted to get it out in the open before somebody stumbled upon one of my lenses and saw the purple badge I now possess.

I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have any Squidooing problems.

It's 4:45a.m. I have yet to go to bed because I just finished a lense and went to look at another lense on military veterans which somehow led me to country music which led me to hee haw which somehow got me here. What in the world makes you think I have a problem??!!!
