123 Heading Creator
I almost passed this product over because of the name. I thought it should be "123 Header Creator" but maybe that was taken.
This is another product enabling regular graphical ly challenged people like myself the ability to create Headers for their websites. And to top it off, they turn out pretty well.
So let's get to it.
Does Size Matter?
If you don't see your favorite size then rest assure that 123 added a custom feature where you can add your own dimensions. In my case, I like 800x200.
Loading My Image
123 Heading Creator has a neat little function in this area. I normally use a 800x200 format but the images I use come to me as an 750x120 image. Well in 123 I set the Left and Top values to 0. I then set the Width to 800 and the Height to 200 and then I click Apply. And then the image is stretched to my format. That is great!
Now you will see a Stretch button but I could not get that to work. The above procedure did the job for me.
Adding Text
This is basic stuff here. I added the text but I did change the text color, font and I added a shadow and shadow color. It also has a couple of other features that I like. Like Depth for the Shadow - that is really nice. And Anti-aliasing. In short, this controls the jagged edges around the Text. It makes the text look smoother. Nice!
Saving Our Header
Recommendation - Yes/No?
I did not cover all of the functions just the basics. There is a Wizard feature that is pretty good as well as some Layer Effects such as Gradient Fill, Borders for the background image, and Filters. They would be neat to play with.
There are a couple of features I wish it had. Like the Stretch button working rather than me doing the stretching. Being able to place a border around the edge of the Text would be awesome to give it a sort of PhotoShop effect.
However, 123 Heading Creator is a tool worth having!
