The one thing you should know...

We are a waterfront community that includes Bernhards Bay and Cleveland. We are a growing community, thats still a little bit country. Country living, 30 minutes to Syracuse.

North Shore Properties!

North Shore Properties is where I work. Janis is our broker, and owner of North Shore Properties. She has been in the real estate business over 20 years! Margaret,Kat and I are proud to work here, and proud to serve the town of Constantia and the whole North Shore. So if you are looking to move or invest in our lakefront community, just give us a call or come in and visit!

BERNHARDS BAY COUNTRY STORE

Relive history on the North Shore of Oneida Lake

Driving along Oneida Lake on Route 49, you will come upon the Bernhards Bay Country Store. Owned by Tony and Mary Lou Ciesla, the couple have enabled visitors to relive the past. Steeped in history, antiques and candy from yesteryear, you are filled with a special nostalgia and awe upon entering. In the old "telegraph room" there is a museum containing articles from the past history of the building and the area. Tony states that there has been a big turn out of locals who have donated items and memories for the museum.
The original store originally opened in 1860 under the partnership of Potter and Marsden. Near the turn of the century, operation was assumed by Clayton Addison Winn. George Davis, a store clerk, partnered with Charles Lord in 1929 to change ownership of the store. With the help of Edna Pease, also a store clerk, who later married George Davis, they weathered through tough times and The Great Depression.
The history here is extensive, as the Museum Room shows, so take a drive along the North Shore, and visit one of our pride and joys! You can have lunch along the lake, enjoy the views, and visit Tony and Mary Lou's "Bernhards Bay Country Store".

Cleveland NY

Lakefront Village Rich in History

The village of Cleveland is very rich in history, and as time permits, I will share it with you. The photo here is of the cemetary on North St, after a heavy snow. Snow is a big part of our life here on the North Shore, so snowmobiling, cross country skiing, sledding, ice fishing are an aspect of our community that cant be ignored! We have hundreds of miles of trails for riders and skiers. If you havent checked out our area for these activities, you should!

Sound off: Should public water be brought through the town??

Here's what I think: Absolutely!

Should public water be brought through the town?

Yes!

No way.

cfd641988 says:

I dont really think it should. Some people like my mother would be driven out by the increase in taxes. The gains just dont out way the negatives in this case.
