1826 On The Green In Pendleton SC

Pendleton South Carolina's Front Porch Restaurant - 864-646-5500
One of the finest restaurants in Pendleton South Carolina is 1826 On The Green. The Farmers Hall with it's majestic columns is the home to 1826 On The Green, a wonderful restaurant where friends can meet for lunch or couples can enjoy a romantic dinner.
The Farmers Hall has been referred to as Pendleton SC's Front Porch. I really like that term and think that it is so appropriate because, when you enter our beautiful town square, the Farmers Hall is the first thing you see.
NOTE: 1826 On The Green has been sold to Barbara and Pete Rizzo of the Village Baker. A lot of the menu items will stay the same but new items will be added. Please check back as this page is updated. Thank you.
Here is a note from Barbara:
We will be closed from Friday 12/23/11 through New Years' day and will reopen on Jan 5, 2012 at 11:30 am for lunch. I am planning some great specials for January. They will be posted before reopening next week so check us out. It will be delicious, low cal, and light on your wallet - everything you will be looking for in the new year.
Hope to see you soon,
Happy New Year,
Barbara Rizzo

What is the Farmers Hall?
The Farmers Hall in Pendleton South Carolina
Home of 1826 On The Green Restaurant

The Pendleton Farmers Society Hall, now home of 1826 On The Green Restaurant, was erected between the years 1826 to 1828. The Farmers Society Hall has been the meeting place for the society since that time and is the oldest Farmers Hall still in continuous use in the United States. The second floor of the meeting hall is where Thomas Green Clemson strongly campaigned for a state agricultural college, what is known today as Clemson University. John C. Calhoun, former Vice President of the United States, was among the members of the society.

- Must try 1826 on my next trip to Ashville. We would probably hit Pendleton around noon--just in time for lunch. Thanks Ohme!
Blessed.
