1967 Dodge Charger Introduction
Since the Charger was such a sales success despite its midyear introduction, changes were limited for 1967. Outside, new fender-mounted turn signals were introduced and would serve as the main outside identifier between a 1966 and 1967 Charger. A vinyl roof become available as well. Inside, the full length console was gone, due in part to customer complaints about entry and exit from the back seats. It was replaced with a regular sized console. Bucket seats were standard, but a folding armrest/seat and column shifter was an option allowing three people to sit up front.
As for engine options, the 440 "Magnum" was added and the 361 in³ engine was replaced by a 383 in³ engine. The 440 was conservatively rated at 375 hp (280 kW) with a single 4-barrel carburetor. The 318 two-barrel engine remained, although it was now the modern Chrysler LA engine with wedge-shaped combustion chambers, unlike the outdated 1966 polyspherical (or "poly") design. The 383 4-barrel and the 426 Street Hemi remained as options.
Despite the Chargers' NASCAR racing success of 1966, sales slipped by half. In 1967 only 15,788 Chargers were sold. The Chargers faced competition from the Trans-Am Series, the Ford Mustang and the just introduced Chevrolet Camaro. Dodge decided that a major redesign was in order, rather than a minor face-lift.

Question: On a 67 dodge charger vin plate does it have dodge written in leters DODGE or the dodge sign on it?
I would also like to know the size of the plate.
Answer: The VIN tag is on the door jamb - it didn't move to the dash till '68-9. I cannot help you as I'm more familiar with the later cars, but if you go to www.moparts.com, you will find someone who will answer your question accurately.

Answer: First Gen Chargers are wanted by more of the musclecar people these days than they were about 10-15 years ago.
First off, a big-block car is worth more than a small-block car. And, the ultimate is the hemi car.
For fully restored cars:
Hemi-cars should pull 60-75K, depending on documentation and options. Super rare.
440Mag cars should pull 30-40K, again, depends on documentation and options. 383 Mag cars, 20-40K depending on options.
Small-block cars will pull between 10-20K, depending on documentation on options.
Add rust, bad interior, or non-originality or custom options, you'll see the prices drop in at least half or more.

ive got a 67 dodge charger #s matching 75,000 orig miles interior almost done white hat special 383 big block 4 barrel 727 trans
Answer: you can post it on the mopar forum ,there's people looking for those cars,if your interested in selling it that wont be a problem you,ll have to come up with a price for it though,all original cars with matching numbers will bring lots of money,if you really want to sell it there will be a buyer for it,good luck.

Answer: Are you talking about a car sold as a "body in white" just the body ,a rolling chassis. I understand Chrysler sold the car that way for racers to build up for racing, drags, circle track, etc.
