Question: 69' camaro?
Im just wondering who owns a year 1969 camaro here.
I just got my dads yesterday and im so flippin happy!

Answer: I own a 69 numbers match 350 3 speed auto. They are the most sought after year which is why the 06 concept car was loosely modeled after it. There was actually a concept car that was alot closer to the 69 till Rick Wagoner steped in and changed it at the last second and they went with the one they released Jan 06 at NAIS. You cant beat a 69 for style. The recessed headlights and roll down rear 1/4 windows are awesome. The Shark Gills in front of the rear wheels are cool as well. If you look at the wheel wells they go straight back and fade into the doors as if the car was going so fast the lines were blured. It was also the year GM most listend to the enthusist. There is the Z28 model that was designed for SCCA road racing. There is the SS designed for Drag racing. The loaded "SS RS" where RS meant hideaway headlights was used as a pace car. Also you have the ZL1 COPO 427 aluminum Big Block motor which doubled the price of the car at $8000. Only 69 COPO's were made and only 40 survive today. Another 205 COPO's were sent to a dealer Don Yenko who had teenagers sticker them as Yenko Camaros. One of which was his daughter for $5 a day. Those cars will fetch $200,000 today. A fake Yenko with "Year One" tags was used in "2 Fast 2 Furious." You just cant beat a 69 Camaro.

It might be worth $20,000 or it couild be worth $100,000; we have no way of telling withour doing a thorough, professional evaluation of the vehicle (the same applies to others who want to know "How much is my ANYYEAR ANYMOBILE worth!)

im 16 restroing a 69 camaro but my dad wants to put a 350 small block in it because he says im not expericed but i want to put in a 396 or a 427 is that to much or stick with the 350 small block?

Question: How can you tell the difference between a 67,68,69 camaro? What distinguishing features separate them?

Answer: The differences that come to mind are the tail lights. The '67 tail lights look like one unit. On the '68's, the tail lights have a chrome like divider that makes it look like a 2 piece. The 69's look like the tail lights are 3 piece. I'm sure there are other differences, but these are the ones that I know.

I tried kelly blue book online and they only give values from 1989 on. Are there any other sites like kelly blue book for classic cars?

Answer: The NADA does offer a free on-line version. Just go to www.nadaguides.com and select the correct guide. It wouldn't really be considered an appraisal. It is an estimate. An appraisal is more accurate in that someone (a trained appraiser) actually goes over the entire vehicle to determine it's worth for insurance purposes and such.

Question: How much would liability coverage for me on a 69' Camaro?
I'm 16 never got a ticket of any kind no wrecks fender benders anything like that good grades ETC ETC How much about do you think it would cost if I got insured?

Answer: You'll have to call and find out if they'll even insure a car that old. My insurance company dropped my 69 Camaro because it's too old. I had to get classic car insurance through Grundy but you have to be 25 years old. There really limited on mileage too but for $175 a YEAR for a guaranteed value of $21,000 on a car that only goes up in value every year, I don't why everybody doesn't own a classic/muscle car.
My 1st car was a '69 Camaro and I still have it.(22 years. im 40)
I wouldn't be caught dead in a Civic then or now.

you have 2 great cars. Dont sell them. put them in storage somewhere. when you get married someday your husband will love to go to the shows with you. I go with my boyfriend all the time. He has a 77 Nova and an 86 Fiero.

At your age you dont know the importance of these cars. When your 35-40 you will regret selling them.

I had a 67 Mustang at age 19 and didnt realize the value and sold it to the junk yard for 50.00. i look back on that now and wished i would have kept it. I could kick myself

But if you really want to know the value look on Ebay for a similar car and you will see.
