New York Yankees Fans Rejoice
In 1978, I was 8 years old and enjoying my second real season of being a baseball fan. My heros included Nettles, Reggie, Guidry and Oscar Gamble (loved that batting stance). To this day, I know the starting lineup (see below) and can remember going to games with my dad at Yankee Stadium. I was there on opening day when they gave out Reggie bars and when, Reggie hit a homerun, the field was littered with orange candy bars. I got my picture in the paper that year after going to the mall and pitching in a cage with my Yankees jersey on - the called me the next "Louisiana Lightning". What an amazing team and and an amazing year.
The Bronx is Burning
Did anyone else watch the ESPN movie series "The Bronx is Burning?" I thought it was disjointed, confusing and frankly, not all that good... but I did watch it all of course... I mean... Thurman Munson came back to life!
Yanks in '09
I expect lots of changs this offseason (can you spell... CC?). How will the Yanks do in '09?

Super lens on the '78 Yankees. Munson was my favorite. I tried watching, "The Bronx is Burning". I like the actor that plays Billy Martin (another of my Yankees favorites) but couldn't stand watching the Steinbrenner and Reggie characters. Oh well. :)
