HERE'S WHAT I THINK
The 19th Century is better than the 20th Century
In the 1800s you did not have to worry about income taxes, social security, Medicare, drivers licenses, property taxes, gun permits, DBA license, insurance, inspections, dog license, etc (unless you lived back East where the cities had already begun to figure out how to make money on people). There wasn't all this legal-mumbo-jumbo we live under today. Personal freedoms were respected.
I feel the advantages of the 20th century do not out weigh the advantages of the 19th century.
YOUR TURN!
The 19th Century is better than the 20th Century
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byYes, you're right!
belen from arg says:
In that period life specially for women, wasn't easy. They
couldn't vote, they couldn't study, and not to mention that
childbirths were much more difficult than now, and many of them
died during it. What the man said was unquestionable, no freedom
no decision. If you were born in a low-class family, what a
life expected you! you could end working as a servan, a prostitute or a lady in waiting just to survive. Degrading

Sue says:
These people bartered work in exchange for farm produce and butter from the farms. Money seldom changed hands in their society. The needs of the people were met within the community, by offering what they could in exchange for what they needed. In this manner the people took care of each other and in turn, themselves; the wash woman needed a doctor and the doctor needed help with the washing. No bureaucracy was available or looked to by these self-sufficient citizens; if you did not work, you simply did not eat. However, those who were hungry due to infirmity were tended to by family and neighbors with compassion and an eye toward their own future infirmity. This was their only insurance, based in community service and family.

If you were middle class then yes, it was a very innovative and exciting time, and more freedom; a topic of my Victorian Culture Group. For the working classes, the labourers and farm labourers and the unemployed then times were still very harsh although throughout the 19th century conditions were improving.

Depends on how you define better. I'm definitely older than you and quite possibly older than anyone who will read this. That said;
I was raised on a ranch in texas, where I lived until I was 12. I was 7 when we got electricity (if you have heard the term Ice Box, we had one). Didn't have indoor plumbing or the things most take for granted today.
So, at the end of this month I'll be 65. I can say that we have advanced more in the last 50 years than cicilization has in the last 2,000. Do I long for the old days, you bet. Were they better......I don't think so. o_O

There's a lot to be said for the 1800s and early 1900s, which must have been an exciting time to live in. I always want to step in and visit whenever I watch shows or movies depicted in that time period. At the same time, I'm grateful for much of the technology and medical advancements we've made since then.

"Both systems concurrently exist today. However, the corporate system has been gaining predominance in the last 70 years. Many Sovereigns (We the people) have contracted with the corporate system unknowingly, unintentionally, and or without full disclosure.
Which one do You want for Yourself, Your family, and Your posterity? Once you learn the difference, You may have to make a decision for Yourself, Your family, and Your posterity. That decision will require changes in how you conduct yourself. You will have to undo what has been done to make your Sovereign status known. This is not taught in the corporate government's public school system, because you are not to know.
