This is a great adventure for those with little time and on a tight budget. Elephant Riding, Visiting Hill Tribe Villages, and Bamboo Rafting.



Unlike most trekking areas around Chiang Mai, this areas is pristine with real jungle forest. A wonderful introduction to north Thailand nature, culture and hill tribe peoples.

We will meet you at your guest house or hotel and depart Chiang Mai at 08:30 A.M.drive 1.5 hrs. to the Elephant Camp, Elephant Riding 1.5 hrs through the prestine jungle, over mountains and through streams.

After the elephant ride we hike for around 40 mins through the jungle and rice fields.We follow a stream and cross over on a bamboo bridge to visit Meo hill tribe village.

Meo hill tribe

We will have lunch of fried rice or noodles prepared at a home in the Meo village. The Meo are famous for their embroidered patch work. Although most are working in their fields you will see the elderly embroidering. Shoulder cloth bags with their handiwork are on display along with patchwork for purchase.

Karen hill tribe

We then board our vehicle for the short ride to a Karen hill tribe. While in the Karen hill tribe village you will see women weaving with the traditional back strap loom. You will also be able to purchase fine woven material from the villagers in their shop and excellent prices.

We then walk 15 minutes to a waterfall to enjoy a cool dip. We then board bamboo rafts for a journey down Mae Win river for 1.5 hours. return back to Chiangmai.
