1 Cup, 1 Coffee Maker - Keurig Coffee Systems

This was a really quick survey but the overall opinion was the same in most cases. I asked a fair few people around the office where I worked if they liked the 1 cup 1 coffee system. In this case it was the Keurig B70 coffee maker.

The answer in general was a resounding YES.

I then asked what it was about the system that they either liked or didn't like about it.

• The fact that the taste and aroma was the same every time that they had a cup. They could count on having the same reliable flavor. This is obviously due to the fact that each 1 cup 1 coffee portion was sealed so no flavor could escape and also there was the correct amount of coffee in each portion.


• It was convenient. Everybody said that they liked that they could have a quality coffee without having to worry about with the coffee grounds and filters. It was also noted that it is really easy to keep clean with a damp cloth without the mess that drip brewers leave behind.


• 1 cup 1 coffee was really quick. In only a couple of minutes they had a tasty cup of coffee. This really tied in with everyones' busy schedule. Well they said that they were busy, but I have my doubts.


• There is a vast selection of different coffees from all over the world from all major Brand names. They like to try them all. It's human nature. There is also decaf certified Fair Trade and Organic that certain employees took a real liking to.


• Because the Keurig B70 brewed a fresh cup everytime, there was none of that over brewed taste that you can get with percolators and drip brewers.

Right, those were the top likes of the 1 cup 1 coffee system. In a nutshell.

• Some people really like very strong coffee. At the time of writing this, there wasn't a strong enough coffee for those folk. I like mine medium strength so it's not a problem for me.


• A couple said that they didn't like the fact that each portion came in it's own sealed packaging and that it was not good for the environment. I said to them that the packaging is recyclable and also because the Keurig B70 is really quick it doesn't waste so much electricity. I take their point tho.


• It makes this annoying little bubbling noise every so often. Well, compared to some of the bubbling noises that come from certain mouths, I can't see what they're on about.

Well that was about it on the negative front.

Overall the 1 Cup 1 Coffee system is loved by most, and liked but not loved by those who like making coffee in more traditional ways.

I love coffee made with other methods too but for convenience and ease of use, this really is the way to go.

That's why I went out and bought a Keurig coffee system for my own home. I think I talked myself into getting one with all that talk about it. I am glad I did. I use it all the time. In fact I'm going to make another one right now. A nice Green Mountain or Kona I think this time.
