New Years Robins in Minneapolis!

This Lens celebrates an annual walk I take to find Robins on New Years Day in Minneapolis.

The first robin of Spring is a welcome sight here where we usually have real winters with plenty of ice and snow.

Most Minnesotans enjoy the winter, at least a little. But even the most died in the wool of us, appreciate its end, and welcome the softening weather of Spring and the varied signs of renewal the new season brings.  The first Robin is one of the most popular of these signs.

I brought my digital camera on my walk today. While I was not able to get a good picture to prove my robin sighting, I thought I would share my route with you and offer some comments.

This is one of my favorite short walks, and by creating the lens I hope to define some of the key landmarks and share with you the wonder of a winter walk.

There is a new group being formed in Squidooville. It's called A Walk in the Woods. Because you have done such a nice job with your lens Grandfather Frog is inviting you to join him in this new venture. The exposure that your lens gets by joining and adding your lenses to the plexos will boost your lens rank and add to the number of web pages linking to your lens. Come take A Walk in the Woods.
