This Chex Mix recipe has evolved over the years. It is also referred to as Nuts and Bolts (for the Cherrioes and pretzel sticks).

Ingredients for Chex Mix
½ cup (= 1 stick) butter
5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
2 cups Corn Chex cereal
2 cups Rice Chex cereal
2 cups Cherrioes
2 cans 1 ½ c. mixed nuts (or peanuts)
2 cups pretzel sticks
Dried mini bagel slices -- optional
5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
2 cups Corn Chex cereal
2 cups Rice Chex cereal
2 cups Cherrioes

Directions for Chex Mix
Heat oven to 250 degrees.
Melt butter in a large, shallow pan or roaste).
Stir in Worcestershire and seasoned salt.
Add the cereals, nuts and pretzels. Mix well till butter lightly coats most everything.
Heat in oven for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Cool.
Put in tins.
Can be doubled, then frozen in tins.
