MSR Hubba Hubba HP Lightweight Backpacking Tent
MSR has packed a lot backpacking functionality into a small package with this tent. The Hubba Hubba HP tent has an updated design for backcountry backpacking that hikers will appreciate. Its arrangement of poles holds the side walls more vertical, creating more usable space for two people, while less mesh and more fabric in those walls means the tent is comfortable earlier in the spring and later in the fall when cooler temperatures might otherwise end the camping season. And MSR manages all that extra utility with light, but tough, fabrics for a tent weight of just 3 pounds, 11 ounces.
Reviewers say the Hubba Hubba HP is a snap to set up, with a free-standing all-in-one hub-and-swivel pole construction. The poles break down to a short length, and it's easy to pack into the generously sized stuff sack. The two doors and twin vestibules are cited as a huge plus, great for easy access and gear storage. This is the tent to have if backpacking season just isn't long enough for you -- it will keep you cozy down to about 30 degrees.

The Big Agnes Seedhouse tent shows up year after year, which can mean only one thing: it's a great tent! Marmot Limelight Tent
Two person backpacking tent in stock
If you like more headroom in a tent, the Marmot Limelight dome tent is for you. A third pole across the top holds the tent body up and away from the center, and the interior height is 41 inches, giving you room to sit up even if you're off-center.Campers like the mesh in the Limelight tent both for ventilation and for star-gazing. And if clouds cover up the stars, you can cover up with the rain fly (creating 9 square feet of vestibule space). The fly and the bathtub floor will keep you dry inside, and a window in the fly will let you keep tabs on the weather.

Eureka Apex 2XT
Backpacking tent 2 person
At 5 pounds, 12 ounces, the Eureka Apex 2XT freestanding tent is heavier than a lot of two-person backpacker tents these days, but look what you get for the weight! Two doors, and two full vestibules! For that kind of access and gear storage, it's worth splitting the weight with your partner; one can carry the tent and one can carry the fiberglass poles. The rain fly covers the Apex 2XT almost completely, and the bathtub floor ensures that water stays out. Check out the partial pole sleeves on one end...they'll hold the poles in place during set-up so you can easily attach the other end. As usual, Eureka has designed this tent with plenty of mesh for ventilation and for stargazing with that special someone.

- Interesting frameworks compared to an old fashioned tent. These certainly seem to have more room, and they look lightweight to carry as well.
