2 States- The Story Of My Marriage

Two States is written on the basis of author's experience. Inter-caste marriage is still the hardest task in India. Couple does not get approval easily from society. Even family members are not ready to accept an inter caste member at their home and life.
The pages begin with a canteen (IIMA, India) scene where Ananya met with Krish. From here their friendship started. Soon they fell in love as it usually happens. Ananya was a Tamilian Brahmin while Krish was Punjabi. They are not only from different religions but also from different states. The novels also compares bwtween the two states- (Chennai) Tamil Nadu and Delhi, of course a few beginning pages took place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. At the time of convocation, both decided to state their parent about the affair and their plan to get marry. But both family do not approve their children's choices, but they reject the idea even to visit Gandhi place each other. Both returned to their places
Rest of the story is about how youngistan fights oldistan to get the approval for marriage. The boy tries to get acceptance from the girl's family and the girl tires to get acceptance from the boy's family while both of them are trying to get acceptance from their respective families. I am not going to reveal everything here as I don't want to be a suspense spoiler.To ease the nerves of those who involve too much into stories, let me say that it has a happy ending.
