I don't know if anyone would know this, but is there a way i can buy and install roof rails on a 2005 or maybe 2006 Porsche Cayenne that did not already, or did not come with them installed?
Answer: It looks like you can install these on the car. Having the parts listed on their site means that it is thought through and the level of difficulty is within reason for someone who is mechanically inclined.

Question: Why is the person selling his car so cheap?
Some one posted an ad for his car on a website (2005 Porsche Cayenne S). The price for this car and this model in the market is USD 50,000 and this person is offering to sell his for USD 18,000. The person is in Europe and I am in UAE. He says the shipping cost is included in the price of the car and ill have the chance to inspect the car and reject it if i dont like it. I dont understand why he is selling it so cheap. It seems too good to be true. Any possible explanation please?
Answer: He's going to just take your money and never send the car. Dont buy it, its a scam.
Question: Now I have 3 Porsche! Thank you God Thank you Very Very Much!!!?
well todays my B'day and now I am Finally 28 so my mother had Promised me that she'd buy me a car about 9 years ago but back then we were Financially unable to afford a new car and my mom ws much focused on my studies after 9 years later she did she bought be a 911 Carrera S (and thank God with manual Trans) so now I have 3 Porsche well will be three in the near Future.
now I have a 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, a 2008 Porsche (997) 911 Carrera S, and will take the Delivery of my (997) 911 GT2 somewhere between Dec '07 and Jan '08.
and this is for mr. Kyle M:- you were right about the Roll Bar but they did planned to put one back in june and believe me thats wht they told me when I had gone for to buy the R8 and came back with bad news that I cannot have it for another yearso I visited Stuttgart to see if I could get a 2006 Carrera S and thats whe they told me about the new upcoming GT2 and believe me the Sktches that I saw made me go "I WANT ONE" and then they told me that itll ...
Answer: The 993 GT2 was hardly even a carrera anymore. It was such a different design, and so few were made that the conversion costs would be through the roof.
And it makes me sad that you bought the GT2 because of how it looked, not because it was a brutal, pure driving machine. (I may have misinterpreted though)
anyways, I highly suggest you get some serious track time under your belt, or you will be part of the reason the GT2 is nicknamed the widowmaker. GT2s are NOT friendly cars. They are NOT forgiving. 911s are very unintuitive to drive fast as it is, throwing 530 RWHP in the mix with an unforgiving suspension is a recipe for disaster for an unexperienced driver (meaning track time, not street time). Also: Dont drive it in the rain with the stock tires. The stockers are pilot sport cups, and theyre essentially useless in the rain.
Anyways, have fun with it, and try not to kill yourself.
Question: Porsche Cayenne and LR3?
In the market to sell a 2005 350z 35th anniversary and get either a used Porsche Cayenne S 05' and up, or a used Land Rover LR3. I have searched different auto. sites and found that I may be able to find both for around the same price. The Porsche is slightly more expensive however, I figure that the repair costs in the long run will be less than a LR and thus offset any higher price in trying to buy the vehicle. I have heard of how often the Porsche must be serviced and it is unbelievable. On the flip side though, any problems that I've read about the LR, and it has been only a few, were totally covered under warranty. Has anyone gone through this decision or has any insight? I am still trying to decide whether or not I would need the extra 2 seats b/c I have a 99' disco that has the rear seats but its very old now. Does anyone have either of these vehicles, or have had both, and could provide some info on servicing and insurance costs for these two vehicles. If you did face this decision why did you choose the vehicle you did? Thanks for your help!
Answer: i would go with the cayenne, insurance cost is the same not much
difference.
Question: Help with 05 porsche cayenne s?
where do u check for the transmission fluid? if there are pictures, would be big help
Answer: the transmission Automatic i presume is a sealed unit and unless it has developed a leak should not need to be refilled untill 100k miles
Question: Porsche cayenne?
I want a porsche cayenne but i dno if i should either buy it or lease it...
Will this car stay high class in 3-6 years or will it lose its touch an be a regular car?
Answer: Huh cumon man a Porsche is a Porsche and the cayenne eventhough is jus a VW Tuareg but Still it'll never Loose its Touch even after 10 years jus like the Range Rover, I my self own the first gen 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, its a Great Car Honestly Yes a Car not a Bloody TRUCK its a Car or youcan Call it an SUV but for the sake of God not a TRUCK its not one of your American Dodge's or Ford's or Chevy's its a Higher Class SUV like the Range Rover.
I'd Never Trade my Cayenne Turbo S for a New SUV unless its a New Cayenne Tubo S cos I love it Eventhough it does 8 sometimes 7 mpg but I love it.
and once again a Cayenne, Toureg, Q7, X5, Range, MB M Class, G Class GL Class and the upcoming bently and Lamborghini SUV's are not TRUCKS!!! they are jus called cars or SUV's.
Question: Do you know how much insurance is for a Porsche Cayenne ?
I am 15 1/2 years old and i am planning to buy a Porsche Cayenne S. I was wondering how much insurance is going to cost???
Answer: as much as the car.

Question: Why did they install the ignition key on the left side in Porsche Cayenne ?
I bought lately Porsche Cayenne and this is the first time so since i bought it i was wondering why the ignition key is on the left side of the steering wheel?
I searched a lot in net and found nothing so i hope that i can find the answer here
Answer: its porsche tradition. almost all porsches have had it like that. it has to do with speed of operation. start the car with your left hand and put it in gear with your right. so the time it takes to make the car ready to go is cut in half...i know it sounds lame like i made it up but its true! just one more way to try to distinguish it from the Volkswagen Touareg perhaps........
found this on one website under the heading for carrera gt -- source below
In typical Porsche fashion, the ignition is to the left of the steering wheel. This placement dates back to the early days of Le Mans racing when drivers were required to make a running start, hop into their cars, start them and begin the race. The placement of the ignition enabled the driver to start the car with his left hand and put it in gear with his right.
