2006 Ford F150 Q&A

Question: Can I tow a Travel Trailer with a 2006 Ford F150?

Specifics:
Trailer is 28ft and 7500lbs GVWR

Truck:
2006 F150 Lariat 5.4L V8 3.73 gear ratio. It looks to have the Ford towing package on it.

Thank you for your help

Answer: Should be able to this website says 9000 lbs.

I would check your manual and your trailer hitch specs (on the trailer hitch) just to be sure, but it should w

Question: How do i replace a brake light on my 2006 ford f150?
I have a 2006 ford f150 and i need to remove the rear right taillight assembly without breaking it. how do i do this to replace the burnt out lightbulb?

Answer: For the lights on the brake lights on the back of the bed take out the four screws that hold it to the body. You will have to let the tailgate down to do this. After you remove all 4 screws the lens assembly should come out very easily. For the brake light on the back of the cab above the back glass, simply remove the 2 screws. The lens assembly may give a little resistance coming off. After you get the assembly off its just a simple matter of twisting the bulb sockets out, putting new bulbs in and putting everything back together.

Question: What mods should i do on my 2006 ford f150 2wd Looking to offroad and mudd?
what mods should i do to my 2006 f150 to offroad and mud with i want all modifications you think would be good from wheel/tire lifts body or suspention what brands and kinds and all the other parts i should put on it thanks.

Answer: First thing you should do is add a locker to the rear-end. Then worry about lifts and tires.
Offroading a two wheel drive is hard enough, near about impossible without a locking rear diff.

Question: Does a stock 2006 Ford F150 with a 5.4 L Triton V8 have enough power to do a burnout?
does a stock 2006 Ford F150 with a 5.4 L Triton V8 have enough power to do a burnout?

Answer: Yes, it does.

If you have the right driver, a 5.4 F150 will have no trouble doing a burnout.

Question: I need to reset the maintenance light in a 2006 ford f150?
Recently bought an used 2006 ford f150, did my oil change and now I want to reset the maintenance light but can't find the way and I don't have the owner's manual. Use to have an older model wich was easier to reset. 10 points to the more helpful answer

Answer: U HAVE A BOTTOMS ON THE DASH" INFO, RESET..."
SO, TURN THE IGNITION ON, HOLD THE INFO 'TIL IT LITES UP ON THE DASH, THEN PUSH INFO 'TIL THE "OIL LIFE" SHOWS UP, THEN HIT RESET, AND HOLD IT 'TIL IT WILL RESET

Question: Which would win in a race 1976 ford f150 or 2006 ford expedition?
a 1976 ford f150 California short bed with a 6.6 liter 400m finely tuned has 4 inch lift with 35 in. tires. against a 2006 ford expedition xlt with a 5.4 liter Triton v8 completely stock(has surprising power)?. race would be in the street not the desert.

Answer: The Expedition - more gears, more torque and more power (hp), probably less weight than the 1976 F150. IF THE F150 is STOCK AS WELL - otherwise, who knows

Question: I have a 2006 Ford F150 Lariat. What are the holders for on the inside lid of the center console?
My question is about the floor console between the front seats. When you open the console there are two compartments located on the inside of the armrest. They appear to have some purpose I have yet to figure out. Any suggestions are welcome!

Answer: If you're talking about the 2 clips on the front of the tissue dispenser.... they can hold pen or pencil.

Question: Where can I find a rear bumper for a 2006 ford F150 lariat?
I went to buy a truck from a dealership the other day and they told me that during the test drive, someone rear-ended the truck and almost completely tore off the rear bumper. Thanks to the no-fault law in Texas, the other person doesn't have to pay for damages. They told me at the dealership that it would cost $3,000 to repair the bumper. I definitely need cheaper than that. Somewhere near Austin, Texas would be perfect but if I could have it shipped, that would be great too.

Answer: Let me get this straight, you went to buy a truck from a dealer and it was wrecked during the test drive. Why did you buy it? The legal owner of the truck is the dealer at the time of the test drive. The bumper is their problem not yo

Question: Does anyone know where the computer module located in a 2006 Ford F150 supercrew?
This computer module is supposed to have a code written on it for the keyless entry system. Thanks,

Answer: The computer that controls your keyless entry system is called a Vehicle Security Module. On a Supercrew F-150 the module is accessed by removing the rear seatback. Once removed you'll need to remove the trim panel behind that. With the trim panel removed, you'll see the module with three electrical connectors to it, coloured green, grey and blue. The label will have a part number similar to 6L3E-15K602-AA (not sure of the numbers before or after the hyphens, but I know 15K602 is correct). On that label are FIVE numbers, which are your keyless entry keypad code. Hope this hel
