Question: Is driving a 2008 chevy equinox anything like driving a chevy 2008 tahoe?
i drive the 2008 tahoe just fine but its my moms and now i want to get an equinox.

anyone care to share?

Answer: The Equinox is car based and front wheel drive or all wheel drive with the bias to front wheel drive. Think of it as a lifted Malibu with all wheel drive.

The Tahoe is truck based and rear or all wheel drive with the bias to rear wheel drive.

Two totally different vehicles with different driving dynamics.

im planning on buying either a 2008 tahoe or a 2008 durango

Answer: The current Tahoe has gained alot of popularity in the high end NYC livery (taxi) segment (you know, the black Town Cars usually). You see alot of them these days, due to their performance, durability, and economy (compared to the last generation Tahoes).

Question: Can play the same dvd through my in dash nav as in the rear entertainment system in my 2008 Chevy tahoe?
I want all of the monitors to play the same thing while driving. Is there a way? Where would i find such a thing?

Answer: I thnik for safety purposes you can not play a DVD on the in dash while driving...unless there's someway to override that.

Question: Will 26" rims fit on a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe with out problems?

Answer: go with the 22 if not your going to be spending alot of money because anything larger will void your warranty

that makes probably less than 25000 a year and with a lot of bills

Answer: Unless you have a lot of money down, you will not have the income to qualify for the payments. You are talking about a vehicle that costs almost as much as the family makes in two years!

Unless there is a source of down payment or income that you have not listed here, the answer is no!

Answer: Heres how it goes. They are both the same car, with different labels on them. The difference comes mainly with price. You are going to pay 35% more for an Escalade. And as soon as you drive the Escalade off the lot, it decreases it's value to that of the Tahoe. The Tahoe however holds its value much longer.

Question: What size engine is in my 2008 Tahoe?
I am suppose to look at the VIN to figure out what engine is in my car. It says the "8th digit" of the VIN signifies what engine the car has. a "0" or "3" signifies a 5.3L and an "8" is a 6.2L. The 8th digit of my VIN is a "J". The 7th digit is a 3. If I count 8 digits backwards (starting at the end of the VIN) the 8th digit is an "8". Which is it?

Answer: read the vin left to right. the first # is the country of origin, the 8th one is the engine code.

but check under the hood. typically there is a name on the motor... vortec 5300, or vortec 6000 or vortec 6200. 5300=5.3, 6000=6.0 and 6200=6.2.

if that doesn't work, on the top of the radiator brace is a 2x4 or slightly smaller black and white sticker, it will also tell you the engine size. (required by law)
