2008 Chrysler Aspen Introduction
The Chrysler Aspen is a sport utility vehicle from Chrysler. Launched for the 2007 model year, the Aspen is essentially a rebranded Dodge Durango SUV. The Aspen name was previously used by Dodge (on a twin of the Plymouth Volaré) from 1976 to 1980.
It is the first truck-based Sport Utility Vehicle commercialized under the Chrysler brand, although the PT Cruiser was the first truck-based Chrysler brand vehicle in terms of CAFE fuel economy standards. With this introduction, as of 2006, all American automobile brands have an SUV in their range. The car was unveiled at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. The Aspen also comes equipped with three rows of seating for 8 passengers and all-wheel drive.
The Aspen comes in one series, the Limited, with several equipment packages available to customize the vehicle to one's individual tastes. Only a few standalone options are offered, in keeping with the Aspen's market positioning as an upscale SUV.
There are three engines available, a flex-fuel 4.7 L (4701 cc, 287 cu in) V8 (capable of running on E85 or gasoline in states where E85 ethanol is legal under emission standards), a gasoline 4.7 L V8 (for California and other states where the E85 4.7 L V8 will not meet emissions requirements), and the 5.7 L (5654 cc, 345 cu in) Hemi V8 with MDS.

2008 Chrysler Aspen FAQ
Question: What do you think of the Chrysler Aspen 2008????
It can tow up to 8750 LBS... Is that true?
Answer: Very Luxury SUV. Go ahead, good Engines and no many problems at all. Make sure you feel comfortable driving it at normal temperature. The idle RPMS (when you stop in a red light for instance) can drop below 750 RPMS and start shaking a little bit... About towing capacity... don´t take that risk... even if the SUV can handling.
Question: Has any one purchased a vehicle w/ the Chrysler Friends & Family discount? If so, how much is the discount?
We are interested in the 2008 Aspen and do have a discount number given to us but want some idea of how much of a discount it is.
Answer: it should be 1% over invoice plus any rebates...dont let them tell you that you dont get the rebates...they should have a sheet/invoice with the msrp and the employee price...
Question: Is the third row in a 2008 Chrysler Aspen removable?
I am thinking about trading in my current car for a Chrysler Aspen. I am big into sound systems and i am wondering if it would be possible to remove the third row to put a sub woofer box in its place. If it is not removable, do you think it would be possible to just put a subwoofer box over the third row?
Answer: ya, i actually just got a 2008 aspen as well, great vehicle, and yes the third row will come out,
Question: What would be the mileage with chrysler aspen hybrid?
I have a Chrysler 300C with me. While I love the car it gives me about 18miles/gallon on city roads and about 21 on freeways. I was looking at Chrysler Aspen coming out with Hybrid this fall and was wondering about its mileage to a gallon. Also any advice on alternative options would be useful. I am looking to going more green and saving on gas.
Answer: The problem is that the Chrysler's hybrid version has not been released yet. Sure, Chrysler can make claims as to the expected fuel savings but there are no real world, public driven, privately owned examples yet so your guess of the actual mileage is just as good as my guess...
Question: I bought a 07 Chrysler Aspen and my payment is $700/mo. How do I get my payment lower or get rid of this car?
I've had this car for a year and I love it! But I have cut back on working so I can get my Nursing degree. I don't want to lose any money on my car but I can't afford to keep paying such a high payment each month. Can you please give me advice as to whether I can keep it and maybe refi or what my best option would be.
Answer: re-finance your loan, try a credit union...or trade your car
Question: I just bought an 07 chrysler Aspen and i dont know if I made a good deal?
I got the payments for 531. a month and total with intrest is 38,000 and it was 22,000 for 72 months. wow what did i do please help is there any way i can back out of the signed contact i mean dony i have 24 hours or something ?
Answer: Um yea! bad deal. You should buy a 1yr old car, it loses about 7-10k in value the first year. So next year you'r 22k car will only be worth some 15k or there about. 72 months? No buenos! Try taking it back and getting another one. Don't focus on the monthly payment next time. Haggle the price of the car before they add taxes and before they add an rebates. So if the car it'self is 18000, try haggling for 17000 or 16500. Then add the rebate, then add tax and registration. Best place to buy a car really, is carmax. They always have vehicles way below blue book value
Question: So we just rented a Chrysler Aspen, how much do you think we will spend on gas?
We are driving 800 miles to new york?? Im not positive on the cylinder or anything.... i just wanted an estimate ya kno. Just calculate one way. and just do the average gas price right now.
Answer: CHRYSLER give 20 to 23 miles per gallon (on highway)

Answer: nope not worth it. You will never make up the cost of the intake in gas savings. Plus you are working with such a large suv. Just drive a little slower if you are looking for savings at the pump.
