In particular, The Dark Night was a huge success, smashing box office records and showing no signs of slowing down. Contributing to this is the magnificent last performance of Heath Ledger who plays 'the joker' in the movie.
2007 was a great year for films. Throughout 2007, 100's of films premiered in the cinema, receiving raving reviews about their quality. There were big sequels such as Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix, as well as more comedy from the same writers over and over, such as in Knocked Up and Superbad.
2008 will also be a big year in film. Each week there are multiple films released, many sequels, but only some will be hits worth watching. To start off 2008 there is I Am Legend, starring Will Smith.
Each month I will run a poll to gather information on the most popular movie for that month, and at the end of the year we will have a list of the top 12 films for the year, as voted by YOU!
