Has anybody taken into consideration that Obama is not a natural born citizen of the United States, therefore not qualified to be President? The man was born in Kenya for heaven sakes! He has been repeatedly asked to produce a birth certificate and he refuses. A lawsuit, currently pending, was filed in court by one of his own (A democrat). Do you want a fake hypocrite, and the Nation of Islam to run this great country of ours? I sure don't. Our constitution must be upheld.
  • amandascloset0 Nov 1, 2008 @ 6:37 pm | delete
awsome lense! None of your info is slanted in either direction. Great Job!!
  • Medicinemanwriting1 Oct 31, 2008 @ 12:00 pm | delete
Super lens, and very, very informative. To bad that more people are not participating in these polls. Although the polls, setting at close to 10,000, do indicate a trend. Thank you for doing an excellent job in covering the whole Presidential election picture. And the electoral college is an added bonus. Thanks. Gene
  • enslavedbyfaeries Oct 30, 2008 @ 12:00 pm | delete
Excellent lens and interesting poll results too! I already cast my vote on Tuesday. George Clooney for president, now that would be interesting. :)

I have just linked your page in my 'More Reading on the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election' section and lensrolled it to my page, "Joe Biden, John McCain, Barack Obama and Sarah Palin Cabbage Patch Dolls."

  • synajib83 Oct 30, 2008 @ 2:26 am | delete
I think Obama surely will win the election. It's depend on him whether he want to throw the advantage he has right now. McCain is too old. At 72 he should just retire and take care of his grandchildren
  • Treasures-By-Brenda Oct 29, 2008 @ 10:42 pm | delete
This is an excellent lens on a serious topic. I have just published a lens on a similar theme but a lighthearted one -- Did you know that they made a Joe Biden, John McCain, Barack Obama and Sarah Palin Cabbage Patch Doll?

    Great Lens! 5 stars!
I am hoping and praying that Obama does not win this election. Who wants to vote a man who does not salute the American Flag, associates with Terrorists, will raise taxes 75%, and plans on legalizing partial birth abortion. If you vote for Obama the world will change, but it won't be a good change! voting for Obama is voting to lose our freedom, it's voting to legalize murder, and it's voting to give away our paychecks...Maybe you should re-think your vote!
    Vote McCain!
  • JessieA Oct 21, 2008 @ 7:02 pm | delete
WOW GREAT Lens 5 stars from me! I love how you get everyone involved. It is nice to see peoples different points of view. I hope that on voting day everyone votes Obama for a fresh new change and to help the states get out of the economic crisis that it is in!

I'm praying the American people do not listen to liberal media and vote for Obama. The man is scary - are we really that desperate that we would place a man with ties to terrorists at the helm of the country? Liberal media would have you believe that most people want Obama, and people want to be among the mainstream. Please, people of America, do your homework and do NOT let this man take over our country. I hate to be a doomsayer, but it could be the beginning of the end...

Sara Palin..Joe Biden make them all go away!
I am sick of listening to all of this, NONE of these people are going to make a difference. You have to change out Congress and get rid of the senators and START OVER with term limits.
    God help us!

Thank you for letting all of you know that Sarah Palin is really dumb.

Excellent lens. Five stars to ya. I am looking forward to the debate between Palin and Biden. We need change but no more big government. So many things wrong. If you have time, I would appreciate a visit to my lens: judiciary supremacy. Thanks

Sarah Palin is about to implode. I feel bad for her because she's been thrust into an impossible situation. She's just not prepared. I also don't agree with her politics, but I still think she's in over her head.
  • EuroSquid Sep 29, 2008 @ 1:22 am | delete
You have got to post this video of Palin's interview. How can someone like this, be one 72 year old man's heart beat away from presidency?

  • Ener-G Sep 24, 2008 @ 10:31 pm | delete
I will be considering a 4-year vacation in another country if McCain and Palin win. I just can't handle another 4 years of irresponsible leadership, that is bankrupting our nation and natural resources. Please someone return our civil liberties!
  • JudyDunn Sep 24, 2008 @ 9:39 pm | delete
Our electorate is clearly fractured again into strongly opposing camps, and it is no more apparent than in your lens. It will be interesting to watch how the debates go, and how the current economic meltdown affects the outcome of the election. Great lens!!
  • JaguarJulie Sep 23, 2008 @ 7:48 am | delete
I've never felt so in a quandry over the Presidential candidates as in this election season. In all the years of my voting, I've been true to my party affiliation, but am just not sure this year.

Beware the facsist bird has come home to roost! THis is a result of corporate greed and being sold down the river many years ago. Grab ahold of your personal freedoms while you still can.

Palin for President is something else to think about.
  • jeaniebeanie Sep 17, 2008 @ 9:17 pm | delete
We HAVE to elect Obama. The Republicans fixed the election last time. Maybe we should do that this time, if that's what it takes. The future of the United States is at stake.

I have never voted before. But I have never felt so strongly about how we are in need of change. So Im voting. I just don't get the Sarah Palin thing. She gives a good speach with other people's words. She has said nothing about the important issues that are effecting our country, but bashes Obama for doing so. Hmmm.....

Proud to have the opportunity to vote for a man like John McCain! So thankful that he has chosen Sarah Palin as his VP running mate! Our great counrty needs brave, competent and conscientious people in office; who defend the unborn, live rightouesly and wisely fear God! USA! USA!
  • Pascale752 Sep 1, 2008 @ 12:29 am | delete
Yes...every citizen and legal or illegal person(s) working and paying taxes in the US should be entitled to affordable or free health care.

Presently one has to choose between paying the mortgage, credit cards or taking yourself or child to the doctors office if you're at all concerned about health issues.
Having to make an almost impossible decision, one finds oneself winging it through to the next pay check praying no unexpected expenses show up to bite you in the ass, it's ridiculous!

Overall Universal Health Care would relieve Americans (as in many European countries, ie: Sweden, UK, Holland etc...)
of worrying if an accident or whatever may render them disabled or in dire need of ongoing medical care.
With the unrelenting burden of the plummeting US economy, relieving the stress load somewhat by this measure, would allow
many individuals to be significantly more productive personally and in the business arena and able to experience a better quality of life.
  • Susan52 Aug 29, 2008 @ 11:39 am | delete
This has been quite an election year - and we still have just over two months to go. I'll miss the drama, but I'll be glad when it's over! Let's just pray that Americans make the right choice.
  • WhitU4ever Aug 12, 2008 @ 3:51 pm | delete
Clearly a biased site, right up there with the mainstream media, which has become the equivalent of Michael Moore when it comes to bias. Michael Moore is a multimillionaire who has gotten there on gullible minds. He bashes everything that disagrees with the far left, but is NO expert on anything he has "documented" so far, whether health care, the auto industry, 911, George Bush, overconsumption (Hello? He weighs 400 pounds!), weapons policies, history, government, politics, economics, and the list goes on. He is clearly a man with an agenda, not a truth-seeker, and anyone who follows him places himself in the same position. If you take this man's words as truth, you probably will believe anything.

I was so proud that I could vote when I was old enough. I think of many different men in the army with whom I have had the honor to speak. They fight to keep us free in all our freedoms. The way we can thank them is to practice each one of those freedoms they fight for us to have.

Assuming each person voted only once as either a Democrat or Republican, it's interesting to see almost the same number of votes for each party. Squidoo is a diverse bunch!
