Who is hiring?

One of the best jobs you could get even before the down turn in the economy was a nursing job.  We had such a shortage in nursing that we were even hiring nurses from over seas.  The problem was and is that you need specialized training to be a nurse.  You can't just run out an do it.  Given the aging of the baby boom generation nursing is likely to be more in demand in the future not less.  So now might be an excellent time to go to nursing school. 

Some other jobs that might not have a lot of candidates are the Green Jobs.  This is a relatively new field so not a lot of people are trained for it. If you are looking to blaze your own trail, green jobs may be the way to go.  Jobs like wind turbine maintenance and repair or solar pane installer or some things you should look at.

Even in a down economy, sales and management never go out of style.  if you can sell yourself an manage your own schedule you may be able to find a job in one of these fields.

 

Where is my Stimulus Job?

So congress and President Obama printed and borrowed three quarters of a trillion dollars to stimulate the economy. If you are still unemployed you may be asking: Where's my half? Rest assured the check is in the mail. The money is coming. Next year. Why do you have to wait until next year for that government job to show up in a location near you? Next year is an election year. They need that job you are going to get to buy your vote. Be sure to reward president Barack Hussein Obama for keeping you out of work for a year!

    healthcare should continue to prosper and we need more people to enter the field. Especially nurses.

    The Nursing Profession is a growth area of the healthcare industry. I work at a Pediatric Medical facility that recent added 30 skill care beds to already 46 beds that state approved.
    Staffing is and has always been a challenge for our unit secretary. CNA's are even given a bonus for referral and on the job training. CEU are mandatory as is inservice training. The needs list is constantly changing and new hires like to sign up for overtime. Excellent lens on the trend in the healthcare industry.
