Question: What is the problem with my transmission on a 2002 kia rio?
Hi guys im new to this stuff. I have a 2002 kia rio that recently started giving me trouble. i was hoping someone could help. The Car started acting funny a few days ago. while driving the rpm just shot up like someone pushed in the clutch on a manual. this however is an automatic. my check engine light came on a little while after so i took it to autozone and had it checked out. it came up with a code p0702. now the car is even worse. when i put the transmission in drive it almost always acts like its slipping gears. once i let off the gas the gear catches however if i drive it and shift it manually through first and second it runs fine. it seems like it only happen when i have it in the drive position or when it is going into third gear. just to clear things up a little. when it is in drive it does slip gears in first and second also just not when i manually shift it! i hope someone understands that. sorry i dont know alot about cars to explain it any other way.Also the car has about 93000 miles on it and sometimes after long trips when it is in gear it likes to roll backward untill i give it gas then it goes forward. ....ok well i just undid the negative battery cable and then i hooked it back up and no more engine light. i drove it around the block a few times and the problem is gone now. anyideas what the problem could be?

Answer: my buddy has a kia rio and that sounds like his problem and had to have the tranny replaced with a used one. what the problem was i'm not sure.

Question: Is it difficult to change rear wheel bearings on 2004 Kia Rio. Do I need any special tools for this?
Tirediscounters say's my rear bearings are bad on my 2004 Kia Rio Cinco Wagon. I want to change them myself to save money.How hard is it ? I have some experience working on cars

Answer: If the thing has a straight axle, it shouldn't be a major problem. If it has struts, hire it out.

Question: I need help with my KIA RIO, I think it's broke?
My 2002 Kia rio squeals when the air is on mostly when its the defrost or AC. Its hard to steer when reversing only when the air is on too. Then the RPM goes over 2 when in PARK. What is the problem?

Answer: look into a new accessory belt and tensioner

Question: My 2004 kia rio will not start at random times? the battery is ok. what could be the problem?
At random times the car will not start. After a while it will start. The starter and alternator are ok

Answer: its a kia...get a real car and that wont happen

Question: Where the Factory AMP for a 2004 KIA RIO?
I just installed an New Deck in my car, but for some reason there is no sounds. I checked the wires over 7 times but still no sound. I check in the truck, no amp, i checked under the seat no amp. Where can this amp be. I need to find the AMP because my deck, which is a Kendwood-KDC 138 keep flashing OEDC, which mean its in protection mode. But anyway i think i need to reset the amp or something for me to have sound. PLEASE HELP

Answer: no factory amp you have connected your wires wrong or there is a short in the line

Question: My 2001 Kia Rio is making funny noises. What could it be?
My car makes a funny noise when I get up to about 35mph and it sounds like it's coming from under the hood. It can't be the fan because that works and I was wondering what could it be?

Answer: It's a Kia. You should be EXPECTING that to happen.

Question: Can i put a turbo kit in a 2008 kia rio?
if i can what size what all would i need to do it? and where can i get a cheap one

Answer: Kia rios are worth nothing as it is, why waste money on it. It has to small of an engine to turbo anyway, youd need a new engine as a stock one wouldnt handle anymore power, possibly the same with the gear box and nearly everything else on the car. just sell it and buy a skyline or something like every other wannabe jap kid.

Answer: Close to 6500 - 7000 AU dollars if sold privately Traded in probly 4000. There only a cheap car to begin with.
