Question: Why is a Scion xD base model better then a Kia Soul base model?
Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me why the Scion xD base model is better then the comparable Kia soul base model in your opinion. thanks.

Answer: In the recent Consumer Reports auto issue the Soul scored a bit better than the Scion in their evaluation, 68 to 60. Details are in the issue which you can probably find in your library. The Scion was recommended because the XD has established an excellent reliability history. The Soul the was not recommended because it's too new to predict how it will hold up.

Here is there summary.

The tall Soul packs a lot of room and equipment into a small, inexpensive car. It has very easy access, abundant headroom, and a surprisingly spacious rear seat. The 2.0-liter engine brings average acceleration and 25 mpg overall, which isn't anything special. Expect a noisy interior and a stiff ride. Handling is fairly nimble and secure with standard electronic stability control. Controls are simple but interior fit and finish is basic. Big windows allow very good front and side visibility, but thick rear roof pillars create rear blind zones. Crash-test results are impressive.

The xD is a boxier version of the Toyota Yaris. The ride suffers from short, jumpy motions, and the highway ride feels jittery. The 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine delivers adequate performance but is miserly with fuel. We averaged 29 mpg overall with the automatic and 34 with the manual. The cabin is noisy and the driving position is awkward, but some taller drivers found the seat cushion too short. The front seats are comfortable enough for people who fit them. The rear has plenty of room for such a small car and cabin access is easy. The xD has a lot of standard features for its low price. Stability control is standard for 2010.

Question: What car should I buy and Why? The Scion xD "Base" or the Kia Soul "Base"?
I will be looking to buy a new car soon and have to find an affordable car to last for some years. I have narrowed my search down to the Base model of the scion xd and the kia soul base model. The more research I have been doing about each car has been making it harder to pick which one to get. So I was curious if anyone had an opinion, especially if you own one of these cars. Remember though I'm only asking about the Base model and not the other ones. Because someone who owns a higher HP car is going to have a slightly different view then the person who owns the Base model lower HP version. Answer: A friend of mine has the XD and my cousin just bought the Soul... I think she did so namely because of the mouse commercials. Both folks seem to love their cars. Both are surprisingly roomy for how small they appear from the outside. Have you had a chance to check out pricing on either car? You could scope a site like www.truecar.com if you're doing new, or www.carmax if you do decide to go used. Have you done any research on the car companies? I know it sounds silly, but sometimes considering the company's health and future helps - can affect your future as an owner (if the company folds, could bring higher parts prices, etc). Good luck!

Question: How can I bookmark audiobooks on my iPhone for use in my Kia Soul?
I've ripped several audiobooks to my iPhone. They're broken into chapters. When I play those audiobooks back from my iPhone through my car (Kia Soul), they play perfectly. However, the audiobook doesn't seem to bookmark where I left off, causing the audiobook to start playing from the top the next time I connect the phone to the car jack. I've looked for a way to bookmark it from the car's radio dashboard, but I can't seem to find it.

The iPhone does not allow you to access the iPod touchscreen when it is hooked up to the car.

My friend drives a 2004 Ford Mustang. Although it is 6 years old, he still attracts girls with his car. When this other kid at my school got a 2005 Ford Mustang, girls started dating him too. Im not going to lie, my friends are a little attractive (no homo) but I don't fall to far behind them. I drive a Kia Soul and do not attract any girls. Are girls attracted to guys with sports cars?

Answer: I would not say they are attracted to guys with sports cars, (word for word from my girlfriend of seven years) but girls like guys with "clean" cars. Most of the time when guys have a sports car reguardless of year make and modle, 99% of the time the car is real clean, (paint, interior, exter. ect) Now, you say you've got a Kia Soul, that's a new modle car, I'd gues 09, or so... You've got a 100,000 / 10 year warrenty. I'm in the automotive field, and my girlfriend owns a 06 kia spectra, and I can tell you first hand, you'll never have to put money into that car for parts that break on you. Because Kia's are very reliable cars. As though I'm a die hard Ford fan, those guys with those mustangs will be needing to replace part as part because lets face it, they will be riding the cars real hard. Think about it this way, they're on a date and than the car dies cause of how hard they drive them LOL would be funny, You on the other hand have a brand new car... and it's a Kia. I've never had to do anything to my girls car, and I promise you it'lll always remain like that. Keep the car, and wait until the right girl comes along. I met my girl in 7th grade... my first car was a 93 ford taurs, second car, 07 mustang, third 95 thunderbird, and now i'm in a 99 ranger... still with her.

Question: Does anyone have any experiences with the Kia Soul?
I am considering buying the Kia Soul and just wanted some reviews. I've heard many negative things about the car since it's a Kia, but when I test drove it, I liked it. Hasn't Kia gotten better in the past years? Will the Soul really break down? It does have a HUGE warranty on it.

Answer: kia and hyundai are both korean companies they have bad reputations on the qualith of their vehicles
i havent test drive a soul but i have seen them they look a lot like the nissan model like a cube

of course when they are brand new they will drive really good , but you need to learn from bad companies and models

ford taurus they had a horrible reputation and ford came up with anew model which look really cool , the focus , guess what it is as bad as taurus , they have a very low life estimate i have seen ford focus like 2004 2006 models for no more than $3000 and samething brand new they felt really stong and smooth ,, i hope im wrong but there is no telling unfortunaley customers will have to wait 5 or 6 years and see if thier brand new car turn into a piece of crap that worths much less then what they paid ,,,,,,,
