The final chapter of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, Harry, Ron and Hermione must find all of Lord Valdemort's Horcruxes before the final battle begins so they may rid the wizarding world of the dark lord forever. However the losses are great and they lose several friend and family members before the final scene.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 will be released on DVD on April 15, 2011.

Based on Brian Selznick's 2008 Caldecott Medal winner The Inventions of Hugo Cabret, follows the story of Hugo, a 12-year-old orphan living inside the walls of a Parisian train station. The book is usually described as part story, part graphic novel and part ??? as it involves many plans of machines and automatons and illustrations of 20th century Paris within the 500+ page book. Fans will be interested in how director Martin Scorsese will include them.

The Smurfs

While many may remember the Smurfs from the 1980's Hanna-Barbera cartoons on NBC, you may be surprised to learn the series was based on a series of comic strips and graphic novels called Les Schtroumpfs by Belgian cartoonist Peyo. The movie (shot in 3D), however takes a dramatic turn from the books as several Smurfs including Papa, Brainy, Smurfette and Grouchy land in New York City after Gargamel forces them out of their village.
True Smurf aficionados may recognize Neil Patrick Harris's character Johan was named after Peyo's medieval comic Johan and Peewit in which the Smurfs made their first appearance. Sir Johan and Peewit also made further appearances in the Smurf's Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Read more....

In the newest adaptation of Alexander Dumas's classic novel, wishing to be a Musketeer like his father, d'Artagnan heads to Paris to enlist only to get himself embroiled in a series of duels and find out Cardinal Richelieu has disbanded the Musketeers. Instead of heading back home, he joins forces with three (now ex) Musketeers, Porthos, Aramis, and Athos, in a fight against the evil Cardinal and his guards.

- I'm afraid that I'm one who waits for them to show up on TV. Movies always bring new readers to books they haven't tried, so I'm glad to see these coming out.
