NFL Mock Draft W/ Trades
Ranked #17,069 in Sports & Recreation, #414,321 overall
Trade Happens
Yes! This is a mock draft. But it is better than most. This mock draft takes in to account what others don't.
The problem with most mock drafts are that all 32 teams don't pick where they are assigned.
Trading gives teams better value!
It gets very confusing to predict when teams start trading around, but somebody has to mock it.
Trading doesn't happen a lot in the top ten anymore, it's too expensive to risk. Hopefully that will change if a rookie salary cap get put in place. But be prepared to see a lot of moving around in the back half of the draft. Around the 15th pick I believe we will see a lot of moving around.
So please feel free to destroy my predictions with comments at the bottom of the page.

Picks 1-17
No trading here (too much risk, not enough value)
1. Carolina - Cam Newton - QB - Auburn2. Denver - Marcell Dareus - DT - Alabama
3. Buffalo - Von Miller - LB - Texas A&M
4. Cincinnati - AJ Green - WR - Georgia
5. Arizona - Blaine Gabbert - QB - Missouri
6. Cleveland - Patrick Peterson - CB - LSU
7. San Francisco - Prince Amukamara - CB - Nebraska
8. Tennessee - Nick Fairley - DT - Auburn
9. Dallas - Tyron Smith - OT - USC
10. Washington - Julio Jones - WR - Alabama
11. Houston - J.J. Watt - DE - Wisconsin
12. Minnesota - Robert Quinn - DE - North Carolina
13. Detroit - Cameron Jordan - DE - Cal
14. St. Louis - Corey Liuget - DT - Illinois
15. Miami Dolphins - Mike Pouncey - OG - Florida
16. Jacksonville Jaguars - Ryan Kerrigan - DE - Purdue
17. New England Patriots - Anthony Castonzo - OT - Boston College
18. Chicago Bears (via San Diego Chargers)
Gabe Carimi - OT - Wisconsin
The Bears cut a deal with the Chargers to move and grab the best OT on the board. Carimi is probably the only OT left that can make an impact day 1. The Bears definitely need help up front to keep Cutler on his feet. 19. Seattle Seahawks (via New York Giants)
Ryan Mallett - QB - Arkansas
Ryan Mallett's stock is rising and the Seahawks are too in love to miss out on getting the 6'7" laser rocket arm that Mallet is. The Giants trade back looking to grab some value. Picks 20-22
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mark Ingram - RB - Alabama21. Kansas City Chiefs - Nate Solder - OT - Colorado
22. Indianapolis Colts - Derek Sherrod - OT - Mississippi State
23. San Diego Chargers (via Philadelphia Eagles)
Aldon Smith - DE - Missouri
San Diego trades up after trading down to get a shot at a dynamic player that fits their defense very well.Andy Reid makes a trade in the 1st round for the 5th year in the row.
Pick 24
24. New Orleans Saints - Cameron Heyward - DE - Ohio State 25. San Fransisco 49ers (via New York Giants)
Jake Locker - QB - Washington
The 49ers jump up to take the next best QB. Locker has great potential, at one time he was considered to be a shoe in for the #1 overall pick. 26. Oakland Raiders (via Baltimore Ravens)
Phil Taylor - DT - Baylor
The Raiders refuse not to be in the 1st round. They trade up and get a DT with "huge" potential. Picks 27-28
27. Atlanta Falcons - Adrian Clayborn - DE - Iowa28. New England Patriots - Akeem Ayers - OLB - UCLA
29. Philadelphia Eagles
Danny Watkins - OG - Baylor
The Eagles move around again this year and get the player that best fits their team. Great value. 30. Minnesota Vikings (via New York Jets)
Christian Ponder - QB - Florida State
The Vikings pick too late in the second round for a shot at Ponder. They cut a deal with the Jets to go up and get the best QB on the board. Picks 31-32
31. Pittsburgh Steelers - Aaron Williams - CB - Texas32. Green Bay Packers - Mikel LeShoure - RB - Illinois

- I believe the 2011 draft will surprize people, there are really great recievers and quarterbacks in this draft. no one is talking about christian ponder, he is deadly accurate and very strong, he also bench presses over 325lbs

- I think there will be a run on Quarterbacks. This will force a team like Minnesota to jump up and get Ponder. Depending on how the dominoes fall it could be a number of teams. Ponder does have great potential.
