The mayan prophecy for the destruction of the earth in 2012 can be interpeted in two ways it reads as follows:

When katun 9 Ahua shall arrive later on, then they must all profess my teachings when, that day comes...without forsaking them, in the final days of misfortune, in the final days of tying up of the bundles of the thirteen Katuns on 4 Ahau, then the end of the world shall come and the Katun of our fathers will ascend on high.

First Possible Interpetation :

In December of 2012 the Earth will go through some cataclismic experience rthat will include violent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and all the side effects that these events produce will have a detremental effect on the planet as a whole. These events may be brought on by ecological problems or possibly a comet strike.

    2012 End of the World... Do we truly expect this man-made calamity to occur in 2012, the year when life comes full circle as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! About 3600 years before came Lord Krishna... an avatar of his era (God manifest in human form). In present mankind awaited Bhagavan Kalki... an avatar of present era!

    If present mankind awaited a gigantic turbulence in 2012, all results from mass karma performed by 7 billion people existing world wide! As per doctrine of mass karma... as we sow so shall we reap... nothing less or more! The events of 2012 result from our doing... karma performed by humanity in past few decades! Society truly has reached a point of no return!

    With the solar storms coming in 2013 im wondering if somewhere along history we lost a year or we calculated the mayan calender wrong. The solar storm is supposed to be the worst solar storm we have ever had and is going to hammer the earth with radiation.
