Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

March 13

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter photo

Based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, the 16th president turns vampire hunter after his mother is killed by a "supernatural power."

Grahame-Smith's other best-seller Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is also due out on the big screen in 2013.

A local Lincoln fanatic recently told me Lincoln would turn over in his grave if he knew about Seth Grahame-Smith's book/movie. Do you agree or disagree?

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is a travesty and blackens the name of one of the the greatest US presidents!

kab says:

Really, Bob? Kids will think Lincoln was really a vampire hunter? Score one for the education system.

Bob Scrooge says:

The kids watching this will think Abe Lincoln is actually a vampire hunter

glowchick says:

I think this is not going to be a good movie anyway.

Booklady75 says:

Tacky.

rauspitz says:

I agree. I read the book and it was mediocre at best.

Chill. The book is fiction and is a great way to encourage reading.

mike says:

dude according to all counts he had a roucous sense of humor and if he knew about it he would probably laugh his hat off

naheedahsan says:

i think so

Loud says:

I dont think kids will be stupid enough to think that Ab is actually a vampire hunter. I dont think the integrity of one of the most memorable presidents is threatened in any way by this movie. I do, however, think the movie wille end up being awful, just because movies like this usually end up being awful.

MiddleSister says:

It's OK. We all know it's fiction.

Rebecca says:

I totally disagree. The book shows Abe in a great light. He's a fighter and knows what he stands for. I'm actually a bigger fan of Abe now because of all of the great quotes in the book. It is also a great twist on historical fiction. I learned a lot of facts about out country's history that had nothing to do with the fictional side of the book.
