A Consolidated Guide to the New Air Guns, Pistols, and Rifles from the Crosman Corporation
If you're like me, then January is always an exciting time. The Annual S.H.O.T. held in Las Vegas, NV means new air guns are being announced. In 2012, the Crosman Corporation has released a whole slew of new air guns, air pistols, and air rifles.
In addition to Crosman Branded Air Guns, there are several new air guns with the Benjamin and Remington brands. These new air guns include a fantastic addition that I personally have been waiting for from Crosman for a couple of years now: The Benjamin Break Barrel Air Pistol with Nitro Piston Technology, the Crosman M4-177 Variable Pump BB and Pellet Rifle, a new Crosman Brand TR77 NP Air Rifle, the Benjamin MAV77 Underlever Air Rifle, and the Remington Vantage NP. There are lots more as you will see below.

Not all of the New Crosman Air Guns have been released for sale at this point. Many of them were only announced a few days ago. However, there are few of the new air guns available already. This is a short list of those which can already be purchased.
What's My Take on the 2012 Crosman Air Gun Line Up?
Short Answer: WOW!
In 2011, Crosman focused mainly on the unveiling of the Revolutionary Benjamin Rogue .357 ePCP Air Rifle, and don't get me wrong, that air gun is a beast. However, the $1500 price tag for the Benjamin Rogue is a bit hard to swallow for many air gun enthusiasts. And, while it was not the only air gun that Crosman and Benjamin Released in 2011, the Rogue consumed most of the attention. For me, the Crosman Nitro Venom Air Rifles and the Crosman Optimus Air Rifles were more exciting because they offered affordable, powerful options in multiple calibers.
So when I saw the 2012 line up that includes 12 new air guns, 3 new air gun accesssories, two new kit options, and a PCP conversion kit, I was simply blown away. There are several air guns in this release that I not only want, but that I can absolutely afford. If I had to pick a favorite right now, I would say that it's the Crosman TR77 .177 Caliber Nitro Piston Air Rifle. Of course, that may change as I continue to research and ultimately buy and use these new air guns. For me, that research starts right now and right here. I will be digging into these new air guns, and sharing with you as I go along.

The Model 1322C closely resembles the Model 1377C in overall looks and operation. However, the 1322 is a .22 caliber pellet pistol which means that it uses .22 caliber pellets and makes it a great choice for shooters looking to add a pistol to their collection and are already using .22 pellets in other air guns.

Crosman TR77
New for 2012: .177 Caliber Break Barrel Air Rifle
The TR77 is a .177 Caliber Break Barrel Air Rifle that features a tactical look and feel, a fixed fiber optic front sight, an adjustable fiber optic rear sight, and a CenterPoint 4-32mm Air Rifle Scope. The TR77 can be used for target shooting, pest control, and small game hunting with approprate .177 caliber lead air gun pellets.
Crosman C-TT CO2 BB Pistol
.177 Caliber BB Pistol: New for 2012 Air Gun
The new Crosman CO2 Air Pistol is modeled after a Russian WWII hand gun. This is the second air pistol from Crosman modeled after a WWII era pistol. The first was the Crosman Model C41 modeled after German WWII hand gun. In 2012, the Model UC-TT was unveiled. This pistol features a smooth bore barrel, metal frame, fixed blade front sight, fixed notch rear sight, and an 18 BB magazine. The C-TT CO2 Air Pistol is powered by 12 gram CO2 cartridges and can be used for target shooting.
Benjamin Trail NP Break Barrel BBP77 Pistol
New for 2012: .177 Caliber Nitro Piston Air Pistol
Maybe the most exciting addition to the Benjamin Lineup is the new Model BBP77 break barrel air pistol. Break barrel air pistols have been made before from other manufacturers, but this new Benjamin Pistol features the NItro Piston technology that allows smoother, lighter cocking and increased, more consistent power with reduced recoil. The Model BBP77 is a .177 caliber single shot air pistol that achieves a max velocity up to 500 fps and can be used for target shooting and pest control.
Benjamin MAV 77 Underlever Air Rifle
New for 2012: .177 Caliber Spring Piston Rifle
Now, even though I am more excited about the Benjamin Break Barrel Pistol, there is a lot to be excited about with the Benjamin MAV 77 Model UL77 Underlever Air Rifle. FIrst, it is the first underlever air rifle manufactured by the Crosman Corporation. Second, underlever air rifles are typically more accurate than similarly powered break barrel air rifles because underlever rifles utilize a fixed barrel. FInally, I am more excited about what this will likely mean for the future of underlever air rifles. This underlever gun is powered by a spring piston. However, I imagine that this air rifle will pave the way for NP Underlever Air Rifles in the future. All in all, I am looking forward to this air gun being released for sale in the Spring of 2012, and the $350 MSRP has me really considering purchasing this air gun.
Note About the Price Update: The Official Press Release originally showed the MAV 77 with a MSRP of $530 but that was quickly updated after they released the Introduction Video (see videos above). The lower price has me really excited about this air rifle because this makes it one of the most affordable underlever air rifles available.
Benjamin Marauder Woods Walker PCP Air Pistol
The Benjamin Marauder Woods Walker PCP Air Pistol (Model BP2220-AP) is relatively the same air gun as the original Benjamin Marauder Air Pistol (Model BP2220). The main difference is that the Woods Walker features the Real Tree camouflage on the pistol grip and forearm. The Woods Walker Pistol is sold with a Real Tree camo custom shoulder stock. This is a .22 caliber Pre Charged Pneumatic Air Pistol that can be used for Target Shooting, Pest Control, and Small Game Hunting.
Benjamin Titan NP Model BW8M22NP
The Benjamin Titan NP .22 Caliber looks and feels a lot like other Benjamin NP Air Rifles. The Titan NP can be used for target shooting, pest control, and small game hunting with appropriate .22 caliber lead air gun pellets. All in all, I am not overly excite about this air rifle, because there isn't a whole lot about it that is different. However, we will have to wait and see how they price it. If it comes in at around $200, it will be a good choice for shooters looking to get into the NP market.
2012 Remington Air Guns, Accessories, and Gear
Remington Vantage NP Air Rifle
Model R1K77XNP
The Original Remington Vantage Air Rifle was a .177 caliber air gun powered by a Spring Piston. This new version carries over all of the classic style of the original Vantage, with the added advantages of the NItro Piston Technology. NP Air Rifles are more dependable in colder weather and the power plant lasts longer than spring piston air rifles. Also, NP air rifles operate with smoother easier cocking, reduced recoil, and up to 70% quieter than Spring Piston Air Guns.

Acknowldgement of Sources
The Crosman Corporation is one of my all time favorite American Companies. I have been shooting Crosman Air Guns since before I can really remember, and the first air gun that I remember shooting was a Crosman Pumpmaster 760 in my Grandfather's backyard.
Today, Crosman continues to release innovative, quality air guns and I continue to buy their products because they are reliable and fun. However, my affinity for the Crosman Corporation does not just stop with their quality products. I love their business model. Crosman has provided loads of media files that include images, press releases, and various other bits of information for enthusiests to use to promote their products.
I just wanted to say a Special Thanks to Crosman.

After Further Review: The MAV 77 is Probably My Favorite
I wrote this article Just after Crosman announced their new 2012 air guns on January 17, 2012. At first glance, I was most excited about the Crosman TR77 because of the way it looked. I mean, I knew it would be a quality air gun based on the technology, so the look of the air gun really grabbed my attention.
After digging in a bit more, I find myself thinking about, planning to buy, and wishing to shoot the Benjamin MAV 77 under lever air rifle. I think the classic hardwood stock give the MAV 77 somewhat of an edge for me. However, what really has me excited is the fixed barrel and easy to use underlever action. Not to mention that the MAV 77 comes with a 3-9x32mm air rifle scope. The overall look and usefulness of the Mav 77 Air Rifle have me wishing spring had sprung.
Now with that said, here is my list of the top 5 favorite new air guns from Crosman in 2012.
1. Benjamin Mav 77
2. Crosman TR77
3. Benjamin Break Barrel Pistol BBP77
3. Crosman 1322 Pump Pistol
5. Crosman M4-177 Pump Rifle
