Doomsday in 2012??
There is much talk about doomsday being in 2012. Could this be true?
This talk primarily comes about due to 12/21/2012 being the end date of the Mayan Calendar. But how much truth is there to this?

My introduction to the 2012 doomsday...
In fact, there was one time in college when my mom asked me repeatedly if I was planning a trip home that weekend. She explained that a friend of hers said that that weekend the devil may come knocking on your door. He will be disguised as someone you love. Don't let him in. So she was swearing up and down that if I came home, she wasn't going to let me in.
Anyway, a few years later, I met a friend who introduced me to the idea of a 2012 doomsday. Actually, he's quite into the idea (as am I). What really got me was that the McKenna brothers (in The Invisible Landscape) also came up with an "end date" of 2012. They found this using a computer program. Science and prophecy matching up. Hmmm...
